Apparently this low budget as frick. The road they are doing event3 (550 meter sprint) on has a fricking speed bump in the first 100 meters and a giant pothole about 3/4 of the way through.

I’ve been watching.

It sucks for those who had + Covid test occur right at the 9th hour: Shadburne, Pearce, Bailey, etc.

Panchik reinjured his knee during the swim event which really hurt him during the sprint but he managed an event win in E4.

Pulling for Fikowski to win.

I want one of those red sandbags from Individual Event 5. Those are sharp AF.

These individual events 6 and 7 are pretty fun. The weight in 7 is legit.

Adler and Malheiros made the weight in E7 look like most people’s warmup weight.

It's a shame these events can't get a decent production sponsor like ESPN, FOX sports, or NBC Sports. It kind of reminds me of the old UFC days. Exciting action but the production quality was shite. They sold to the Fertitas and they dumped millions into it making it palatable to the masses. That's what Crossfit needs. You can produce the excitement from the events today without the psychotic shite.

It would be sweet to get it on a major network but I enjoy the live coverage on YouTube. I doubt a major network would provide a full 5 days worth of coverage. They have too much money devoted elsewhere.

On a side note, I wish Castro would stop programming the games.

I kind of wish he would just back out entirely and let an organizing committee run the games. I don't particularly care for his personality.

Adams has an overall strength weakness. Got her arse kicked on the clean ladders yesterday and the 1RM snatch today.

Wells was only wearing an elbow sleeve on the right arm so she was probably battling elbow issues before the snatch event, which led to the dislocation.

It was different. I was surprised Medeiros did so well in it.

The only thing I like about the DL/HSPU workout I like was the change to an ascending format. Everything is always in a descending pattern.

The swim/paddle is old and redundant. The same workout concept back to back was stupid also.

Without that event, Vellner is your champion.

The dude can swim, but he's not that fast and it always hurts him. From my experience, it's usually the comfort level on maintaining consistent breathing. When I swam a few times (open water at WZA) the water's choppiness made it difficult to stay consistent with breathing. I would switch to breast stroke for a a few strokes to get my breathing back under control before going back to free-style.
