Does anyone have trouble with false grip for ring muscle ups? Its extremely uncomfortable even with feet on the ground just trying to practice. I realize its likely a mix of incorrect technique and not being used to it, but I can't imagine putting all my weight on it.

Yesterday's WOD was short and sweet
Workout of the Day
100 Alt. DB Snatches for Time (50/35)
I subbed out snatches for KB swings and finish at 3:20.
I felt a snap in my left elbow while doing pushups Thursday and my elbow's been bothering me since, so went to PT again.. seems like i strained my supinator muscle. That somebitch HURT when she dug in there and hit it. After PT it was swollen.
Workout of the Day

Had to miss squat day yesterday and am not happy about it. Fun one today(I prefer AMRAPS) though-hope I get to go:
A.)Push Press- 6 sets of 3 reps ascending in weight (super set with 6 sets of 10 Lateral Raise AHAP!)

I did:
-400M run x2, 200m run
-20 hanging knee raises
-95lb squat cleans.
I got 3 + 24.. but I did 200m on the last round. The squat cleans had me feeling like I was gonna puke.. stood over the trash can for about 30 seconds before the last round

In my defense of getting capped, I had to stop and tie my shoe on the second 30 box jumps which cost me 5 seconds.

I got stuck at work late yesterday so I went to the open gym at 7 and did the Oly class. Afterwards I did 3 sets of 3 tempo paused front squats at 155 just to make sure I was good and burnt out.
OLY Class
A.) Split Jerk Strict Press (31x1) 5-7 Reps, rest 90" x 3
B.) 1 Hang squat Clean + 2 Split Jerks every 2:00 x 7 (Climbing)
I did A at 85lb. I worked up to 155 on B. My cleans are feeling better and better, getting used to getting under the bar even the weight is heavier.

Loved the workout but waiting too late this morning to start it outside. It was already hot by 10 am so I was drenched with sweat by the second run.

I was in BR this weekend and dropped in @ Geaux for the Saturday WOD. It was Angie. I started to get sore that evening.
Today was find your 1 RM complex of 1 Thruster+Push Press+Push Jerk+Split Jerk.
Got 195. I was surprised as that is 10lb push press PR.

Today's WOD was good
Workout of the Day
For time, using a single dumbbell:
10 weighted pull-ups
40 overhead lunges
10 weighted pull-ups
30 snatches, alternating arms
10 weighted pull-ups
20 overhead squats, 10 each arm
10 weighted pull-ups
10 Turkish get-ups
10 weighted pull-ups
Men: 50-lb. dumbbell
Women: 35-lb. dumbbell
Intermediate: body weight pull-ups, 35/20 DB
Beginner: ring rows, 20/10 DB
I used a 20lb dumbbell, scaled pull-ups to ring rows.. 35lb wouldve been fine for everything but the turkish get-ups. 13:33.
Afterwards I tried to get a banded pull-up with the thickest band, and failed So disappointing. Gotta keep working on that

10 rounds on the beep every 30 seconds. 2 power cleans at body weight so 175 for me, then next beep 10 sit up. So basically 5 sets of each.
then 12 min AMRAP
5 over head press at 95lbs
6 alternating dumbbell snatches at 50lbs
5 bent over rows at 95lbs
10x4 flutter kicks
Today a 4 mile run at a slow and smooth 9:45 pace
worked up to 3RM on deadlift at 445
then

I started going to another Crossfit gym because my wife does BJJ there, and they don't program any strength
they only do warmup, then WOD...
I only signed up for 10 classes for a trial period and I don't think I'll sign up full time because of this
I also feel like their programming caters to the soccer moms too much

Every time we have any overhead, we also have these superset raises with dumbbells. Today was three different movements in sets of ten. Kinda scares me considering my shoulder issues. Anyway, managed 125 on my last set of 5 strict presses which is a PR.
Tomorrow we have a 10-1 deadlift with 200 meter row after each. My DL is so poor, I doubt I'll do the Rx of 185.

Do you train too? I need another poster here to talk training shite with. I have been really lax with mat time since my school moved almost an hour from my house in Houston. There are closer places, but shite, I have been with my instructor for so long it would be like I am cheating on him. However, I just moved back to North LA from Houston and am going to get back on the mats at a school I found up here. Same Gracie family tree too.
