You know you books have set it down and still held the bar.

In the comments he addresses the "don't let go of the bar" in the comments, you were supposed to rest for 90 seconds by doing nothing

He clarified

but feel free to hold onto the bar the entire time and during rest too. Let me know how that goes.

We knocked it all out in 55min with some warmup light squats today. Felt real good but not sure about front squats tomorrow :)

It’s a lot different program this year (385lb TM) than last year (275lb TM) haha.

Yea front squats will be interesting. I’m going to try 45% but may end up going lighter depending how the first set goes.

That was wonderful, 5s and 3s is a nice mixture. I similarly assumed that his intention regarding "don't take hands off the bar" meant that the weight stayed the same across all of the RDL/rows supersets, but it's impossible to actually follow those directions and operate my watch and the remote for my timer so I can strictly adhere to the rest intervals so I did not follow those instructions literally.

I assumed it meant transition seamlessly from row to RDL without putting the bar down, then rest.

I honestly didn’t see that when I wrote the workout down. I just decided on my own to make it easier and use the same weight for both movements and not drop the bar.

Day 1 in the books. Completely gassed from those pushups. I really should have gotten more work in last month to prepare.

Day one was good. Working off of only 260 for my TM. Working around what I believe is a herniated disc. Still feel some tenderness for sure. To give an idea, two years ago when I did Squatober my final squat was 330 so I’m trying to take it easy. Last thing I want is surgery. FML.

Day 2 in the books. Legs are still feeling good as the percentages aren't too heavy yet.

Front squat arm placement was a little rough with the knurling on my OPB.

This was a fast workout. 40 minutes and I was done.

I spent a little more time warming up today. I did bare minimum warmup yesterday and I felt it first thing this morning. You'd think a 47 year old man would know better.

Squats felt great. I still hate front rack position but worked up to 185. Much rather use the hack squat machine to target quads.

About to get a “Reserved” sign for the squat rack so it’s always available for me.

I’m also working on a lighter TM this year.

I’m using the ATG slant board. Focusing on full range of motion.

Day 2 done, got it in early

I was a bit sore this morning from the 60 reps of bench press.

Really starting to like the front squats. Never did any before PPSA
