I have 2 more weeks of heavy lifting than a deload week. So it should work out well to be fresh before starting Squatober.

What is this merch I keep hearing about? Is there a link? Why so much hype over it?

I'm in assuming I actually I have a gym I can get into. Haven't had a traditional workout since early July. This will be my first time doing Squatober, but I ran PPSA Jan-June.

They only sell the stuff for a short period of time every year. And then it’s on to the next year.

He posted the other day on IG that they go on sale 9/6

Starting the prep program today. If I known it was 24 workouts, I would’ve started a few weeks ago…. Going to do it 4 days a week

2 days into Squatober Prep and I’m sore AF!! Split squats killed my gluts and hamstrings, haven’t done those in years

I'm intrigued by this "Squatober" as usual...(should be, I read the whole damn thread), but...week 1 of Squatober would be my week 7 of ppsa Young Grasshopper and I like to finish things I start. Hmmm, dilemma. However, I am the Dark Lord of the SQUAT. Y'all don't squat, I SQUAT, it's my thang.

I'm torn, like the hamstring of a 32 year old man who, at a few months into his new strength training regimen decides, "I need to start doing some sprinting," even though he hasn't sprinted since high school. But it looks like I've got some time to decide.

Pros:
1. Squatting heavy weights with high frequency.
2. Looks fun
3. Coincides with October/Halloween
4. Opportunity to show y'all boys how it's done.
5. Extra work load will allow me to up my Kit-Kat intake without doing too much damage to myself.

Cons:
1. Squatting heavy weighs with high frequency.
2. Lots of other silly bullshite included.
3. Scheduling conflict
4. Instagram/social media
5. There's mersh?

Not much of a dilemma. Finish Grasshopper and then start Squatober. You'll just be a little behind. Lot's of folks do that.

Also, 777 usually posts the workout in the thread if you don't want IG.

For those who have done Squatober in the past, any nutritional hacks to aid in recovery and results?

You don’t deserve merch with that attitude. It’s not all heavy all the time. Lots of variation in the reps and types of squats.

Agreed.

This isn’t the OT. Maybe you can change your tune by the time 10/1 rolls around

It’s not nearly as bad as it sounds. Protein, sleep, and if you have a hot tub or pool it could be beneficial.
