Yeh I was not a fan of fast squats.

Got either 10 or 11 sets on the rows, lost count. Tried to go 105 but I can’t math and actually did 115.

Curls were rough.

This makes me feel better. I’m a little guy and gassed out after 7 sets at 95.

Aren’t speed squats a pretty common exercise for improving explosiveness out of the bottom of the squat? Yes, your form might be off, that’s why he prescribes 50% of a 90-93% training max. I may feel differently tomorrow after I do them.

Maybe. I just don’t like how it feels on my back. Both times I’ve thrown out my back was on a light weight negative portion of a squat where I wasn’t focused enough. The feel of the fast squats today reminded me of that, which is why I was uneasy. Physically, it didn’t really feel bad at all. I’d prefer to do a really slow negative and explode up as fast as I can.

I have to say that I’m back to feeling really comfortable and natural with the bar on my back again and my old strength is returning. I don’t know if it would be advised by any medical professional to recover from a back injury by squatting every day (except for Dr Jacked), but at least in my case it seems to have gotten me back into pre-injury shape (but with better attention to bracing and breathing and form).

Awesome to hear Canuck and actually feeling the same, although my injury is not nearly as severe as yours or anything close.

Tonight I made pennywise my bitch, fricked him up even with the 5% increase in TM. Both squats and bench were about a rpe 7 on the last set. About to hit those shrugs and get some sleep.

Just finishing up day 20 "Alternative Strength". I liked the build up to Squats with RFESS and Goblet Squats. I ended up using the heavier percentage for bench, everything felt good the past two days.

Except for the timed sets. 8 sets on the Pullup/Row superset and barely 5 on the dips/CG pushups this morning.

I also like the warm up and build up.
Squats felt light.

Cardio today was the worst part!

Yeah, I hit 4 sets on the cardio and it sucked. I’m looking forward to the weekend. I can’t seem to find 8 hrs of sleep during the week. 7 seems like heaven, I doubt I can be in bed long enough for 9 much less 10.

I enjoyed that one!

I like the two warm ups before getting into those deep squats. Felt a little stronger today

I only got 5 sets on the cardio. I was dying. It keep everything in me not to bust out some girl push-ups

Really liked this workout. That 2 second pause is legit when your legs are a bit tired.

Worst part was cold arse kettle bells.

Got in 4 sets of cardio. Last push-up right at the buzzer. That was deceivingly hard.

I did 2 sets back to back and then took a break and after the 3rd I was dead tired.
