Triples
As many sets of 3 at 80% as we can do in 10 minutes. That's going to be fun...lol. I'm going to go ahead and start icing my knees right now.

Same. I enjoyed the timed sets. Makes it more fun, I guess.

Anyone else rather do standing rope pulls triceps extension than skullcrushers? Essentially the same motion. Just find its less stress on the elbows.

I don't have an EZ bar or a cable system, so I've been using dumbbells.

I was way over zealous on day 3 with my 19 sets of doubles. He says to shoot for that same number of sets. Hell I don't know if I can get there

Ain't no way I'm getting the same amount of sets. I pushed it hard with the doubles

On an unrelated note, my apple watch now thinks my walking heart rate is elevated because of these recovery walks.

Same. Yesterday I came up just short because I had an easy day and only saw a handful of patients, so I was on TD and reading a lot.

What's yall opinion on running during all of these workouts? I know he says to get the walks in, but I got a 5K in Lafayette tomorrow for my wife's family and I plan on running as much as I can

if you want to run, run. just make sure you get plenty of rest. maybe hit up a hot tub to work out soreness.
Posted on 10/13/22 at 1:05 pm to lsu777
Ohhhhh a hot tub sounds wonderful right about now

Update: did today’s pause day today and it was indeed not too hard. I had to focus to make myself pause at the top set though; body instinctively wanted to come up out of the bottom right away when the weight got heavier. Snatch deads once again got me panting. Whole workout was 25min so I did some farmers walks til my brother was done his 30 min cardio then I worked in with him on his bodybuilder style push day. LOT of volume for me. Gonna do the 10min workout Saturday but sub in biceps (we did the backarms skullcrusher today). Time for sushi and beer imo

I was running 25-30mpw over the summer, stopped during the week in October, and went for an easy 5 miler last Saturday and it wrecked my legs like I had just done a half marathon. But I'm not used to squatting 5x/week. Been doing my 30-minute walks each day but staying away from running much.
Agree with 777, you'll probably be fine, but might regret it more on Sunday than after a typical 5k race

You people that enjoy the timed sets are sick! That shite is hard and now it’s triples!

I just finished day 12. I only have an 80lb KB, so that was fun. The planks were dumb and I made them look dumb, thank goodness for a home gym. Squats were easy, front squats were a fail. I simply couldn’t keep them behind my delts. I had to break out the front squat harness (not the same I know). On the plus side I was so pissed I did 175 on the 3x5 OHP
