Thanks Hat & Jose, next time he prescribes these I'll try this technique, that seems doable.

cheers

I liked the tempo today. Weight on both squats seemed light to me. The last set of Bulgarians and Romanians really had me feeling it

Day 7 done.

Oh my legs were trembling after the RFESS. I ran right into the romanains and just knocked them out.

My legs feel like jello right now

This was my EXACT feeling. I use the Notes app on my phone and in red ink I scribbled "Jello Legs" under the RFESS. Felt wobbly walking to the DB rack (and subsequently the squat rack for RDLs).

I forgot about that!

I'm going to gym in about an hour to tackle this one.

I think that was the first and only thing I have ever blatantly skipped in any of the PPSA workouts. I just couldn't bring myself to do it

Day 9 done, another grip killer.

Tri’s are still sore from the 100 close grips

Back squats were silky. Front squats were good. Almost fell once on the split squats. RDLs felt great!

bench planks

I did them once and then never again. Felt like an idiot planking across my benches with my garage open when my neighbors drove by looking at me.

The tempo workout was harder than I expected. I’m already tired and there are 3 days to go lol

Thanks, I took the plunge as I completed day 8 tempo tues this morning and day 9 thighs n wings this afternoon before volleyball.

I see it as luck, as both sessions were shorter than what seems to be the typical length.

Also, it seems completing BYIC over 8 weeks has helped get through these sessions. Easily my favourite program.

Feels good to catch up, as my IG is full of Squatober stories.

Thighs and wings was a good one

I hate squats and pullups/chinups as a superset, my half rack doesn't have enough room to comfortably leave the bar up
The lunges didn't hurt as much as expected

After the tempo workout yesterday, my thighs were sore this morning. I subbed lat pulldowns for pull ups. I'm not quite there on pull ups so this gives me a better range of motion and full clean reps. Because of the sore thighs, the first couple sets felt heavier than they should. Weight got lighter towards the end. Lunges were heavy but felt great. I think I went a little ambitious on the bent rows and lost some control on set 3. I used the same DBs for the row/carry SS. Went well, but grip did start to fatigue in my left hand.

With everything this week being right at an hour or less, makes me wonder what he has prepped for Thursday and Friday. Figure one of these is going to be a marathon day.

Day 9 done

That was relative short around 45mins give or take...

What is everyone doing for recovery?I think some foam rolling / stretch programs were mentioned in another thread but can't find it again. I think it had 6 in the name of it...

I've been walking the dog & theragun mainly....

cheers

I couldn’t get up this morning. So it’ll be another late workout for me.

Thought about jumping in my pool tonight while watching baseball for recovery. Should be pretty chilly.

50 unbroken skullcrushers is gonna suck no matter what weight you use

Looks like a quick day. I'll hit it at lunch and probably put in some miles in the morning.

Didn’t someone hold the bar for all sets last year without racking for unbroken rows?
