The recent supplements thread made me wonder how much I spend annually on all Health/Fitness areas. Guessing I'm above average but not nearly as much as some of you:

Gym membership: $600 (used half of family Y for this purpose)
Preworkouts/Creatine: $125
Shoes/athletic gear: $150
Sports equipment: $100
Sports leagues: $150
Golf (mostly green fees): $200 - only play 3-4 times/year

Total - $1,325

I don't track a lot of the ongoing stuff. Gym is zero, food and supps are just as needed and I just replace equipment as needed.

I'll go with about 350 as my yearly total.

Good lord, where do you work out? Instead of Planet Fitness free pizza day, do you get free caviar day?

I recently looked into VillaSport which is supposedly a very nice club near us.....$270 per month. I pay $30 at 24 hour fitness with a promotion through work. Access to pools all around Houston. I can treat the staph infection that i'll likely catch with all the money I saved by not paying for VillaSport

Ah. Back in the day I looked at MMA classes. The trial membership was fun, but the full would have added triple my monthly LA Fitness cost. That killed it for me.

Yeah. My wife's BJJ is expensive. But she really enjoys it and since she is so tiny (5'2" 115 lbs), I like the fact that she is learning how to defend herself.

Bikes and cycling gear get expensive fast. I bought a used Gunnar roadie w good components years ago and plan to just ride it until I start training for a half ironman. Maybe my brother will be ready to upgrade by then and I'll buy his current tri bike.

I guess my biggest expense is a gym we hardly use right now. I may head there tonight. Raining like crazy all day here.

I just bought ketone salts, powdered MCT and essential amino acids for my race and four-day glacier backpack coming up next week. But I rarely buy such things.

If you count skiing, then season pass + other lift tickets + occasional gear upgrades. That adds up (especially with my beer carb loading habits).

That's about it. Running is cheap.

That's about what I spend. I usually get my Altras in MT with no sales tax and a loyalty discount at local store. $100-110 3-4 times a year.

Yeah. I’m a cheapskate but I’ve torn up pairs of expensive Brooks and New Balances in 6 months.

I’m on hold for now but come fall that will change. I’ll probably combine my birthday, Christmas, and anniversary into 2 new pairs.

I usually do SnowBowl (MT) because it's 20 min from house. I've done Silver Mtn and Discovery before but if anything SnowBowl. Baby coming Nov 1 so it may be a very limited season for me depending on whom I'm able to bribe to some stay w wife.
