In the same day. I’m sure some of you may have seen this already but this is damn impressive and not getting the attention it deserves.

Very impressive and shows a really well rounded athlete. Both of those are tough on their own and being in shape to do both on the same day is pretty cool.

I can't even visualize going that fast, anymore. I would be happy to go sub 7, again.

I try so hard to do well at both, but I just can’t. Super impressive when people can be strong and run fast/far concurrently.

Extremely impressive. What's going on with his arms while squatting? His elbows seem to be flapping around when he comes out of the hole...

You got me curious and the only other stats I could find on him are:
Deadlift PR: 575 lbs
Clean and Jerk PR: 320 lbs
Snatch PR: 245 lbs

If I can find his bench online I’ll add it

I ran a 4:45 mile in high school, that was at my peak. I was also 130 lbs soaking wet and could barely lift 135 on bench.

I don't know anything about weight lifting but a 4:56 mile is nothing special. I guess if he is a big guy you could say it's a good time for a big guy.

So you're saying his lifting is impressive? That's fine but why include a mediocre mile time as proof of some great accomplishment.

Something tells me you couldn’t even load 500# on the bar.

I can't run a 4:56 mile or squat 500 lbs, so he has my respect. That was pretty impressive.

This combo is pretty amazing and no one should downplay it. Most decently athletic 200 lb men could train their entire lives and never hit a legit 500 lb squat.

However, I do believe many decently athletic men in their physical prime could run a sub 5 minute mile. Catch is training for it (endless 400 repeats!) would take awhile and would be miserable, especially without a track or serious distance running background.

Again, pretty impressive accomplishment!

Consider you could squat your body weight

He’s squatting 500 at 180-190 lol

Squatting 500 is the more significant achievement of the two. Running sub 5 is only really noteworthy if you a high school girl.

Probably not. But I ran a 4:52 mile in jr high. I just dont get the significance of a 4:56 mile. It's not some remarkable achievement. It's line saying he squatted 500# and bowled a 130.
