Howdy all,

Ive tried expensive shorts and cheap ones. I settled on cheap BCG 5" shorts from Academy. They hold up well and are very comfortable. Ive bought them for years and they usually last 12-18 months before throwing them out and buying new.

I am sure that I have bought going into winter before, but cannot remember for sure. However, they are almost entirely out of stock right now. Most colors and most sizes are unavailable with no restock date.

Does anybody know how often they get them back, or am I SOL until spring?

Yeah, everything I posted above applies to their website. Stores are sold out.

I know guns, ammo, outdoor stuff, etc. has been bad. I figured the workout clothing was restocked and back to normal. I can wait a few more months before needing to get new shorts, but was surprised to see nothing available.

Nice! The way I read it was a durability issue.

To be honest, they are at the end of their life when its time for a different size. Seams give out, but I only rotate 4-5 pairs.

Academy has looked like a chain going out of business since covid hit.

No idea what’s impacting their supply chain, but it’s been bad across the board around here.

If I can't see your knees, you're wearing capris.

How short are you that the 7" cover your knees?

In all seriousness, if you think you will fit in a men's small, couldn't you also fit in a youth's XL? I have a good friend that buys all of his athletic wear shorts/pants & jeans in youth sizes.

7” from lulu is about 2-3” inches above for me

I’ve also had my lulus longer than a year and they still look brand new. My old Nike shorts are still completely wearable but get those peels and look bad but the seams are all super strong still.

I don't know what OP is doing in these shorts to kill em in a year...I just gave away to charity about 8-10 pairs that had no issues. Some of those shorts I've had for 3-4 years. Only reason I got rid of them was they were too big now.

But to the OP point, I too have had a hard time finding much stock anywhere. Guess those production plants are still using covid as an excuse to not output as much product or something.

I am still trying to wrap my head around someone needing a small in mens! I did not even know they made Men's S.

I have the same 3 pair of Adidas shorts I bought 10 years ago, still going strong. They are starting to wear in the front a little from deadlifts, but I'll keep using them until they start showing skin.

I also enjoy the bcg running shorts. I found BALEAF on amazon and I like them even better.
