You telling me a 100 calorie muffin made with bananas, peanut butter and honey can't be a healthy option?

Bananas aren't healthy?
Let me guess, Keto?

If the only things in your muffin are bananas, peanut butter, and honey then I don’t see how that is unhealthy. But like all things, it depends on the person. I wouldn’t exactly call this healthy for someone with metabolic syndrome, pre-diabetes, or diabetes, but for a healthy person this is fine. The problem comes if you buy these pre-made as they assuredly will have some added ingredients outside of the three listed. My rule of thumb is any real, whole foods are fine to eat. It’s the processed stuff that causes the problems.

See if you can nab a quick, simple bodyweight routine from 777 for the 2 weeks of work.
I'm in a similar spot as the OP, but about 10 years older. Got a bodyweight routine I could start with for a few weeks? I need a kick in the arse and it might as well be this weekend!

Bananas aren’t healthy? Get the frick outta here.
Sure, if you eat ten a day it may not be.
Before anyone says anything about high sugar content remember the fiber helps counteract this.
They also rank low to medium on the glycemic index, which measures how foods affect the rise in blood sugar after a meal.
Bananas have a glycemic index value of 42–62, depending on their ripeness.
Sweet geezus, I’m going to go eat one now after I finish my beans and rice.

It’s been said here already but count your macros/calories. MyFitnessPal works wonders and really opens your eyes.
No more junk food. Throw the processed chips and cookies away.
Learn what truly fuels your body. We’re all different.
I’m a whole food plant based vegan who runs great on complex starches but my wife would fall over eating what I do. She’s a Mediterranean diet type.
Find your love of working out. Remember, you can’t put work a shitty diet.
Maybe get a personal trainer or CrossFit? It’s helped a lot of folk.
Good luck in your journey.

Still not unhealthy.
Bananas are a good source of several nutrients, including potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C and fiber. They also contain various antioxidants and plant compounds.
They may also contribute to weight loss by increasing fullness and reducing appetite, thus helping people eat fewer calories.
This is what we’ve become as a society. Arguing over frickin fruit.

I am always snacky and looking for something, usually chips, cookies etc. I assume, more fruits, less chips, cookies. But what about meals that are easy to cook or fix?
Far as keto, that is not for me.
If you are serious about dropping 50 pounds and not being a piece of shite for the rest of your life then you should fast for 20 hours a day. Drink only black coffee and water during the fast. Eat a pound of meat during your 4 hour window. Rinse and repeat for 90 days.
It will be tough and you will want to quit during the first 3 days. Then your body magically adapts and you will feel like a champion and wonder what the frick was wrong with you for so long.
There is a reason people are obsessed with keto. It works.
Or go eat your fricking cookies and bars and shakes and muffins.
Do you want to lose a frick ton of weight fast or do you want to shop for a bunch of bullshite and put together a "meal plan" that makes you feel smart.

This is such a shitty post, and a terrible way to come off to somebody who is attempting to make changes.
If he doesn't want to go the route of fasting for 20 hours a day, then that's fine. It's not the ONLY way to go about losing weight successfully.
The reason I don't like keto, is because of people like you. Sure, the diet works. But guess what, so will tons and tons of other diets, if he sticks to them. That, "you have to do it this way, or you suck" tone is just crappy.

Most people want to lose weight in a way that is sustainable for them. 20 hours of fasting and only eating meat , for most people, is not sustainable for a lifetime. Not in today's obesogenic environment. People need to learn how to navigate the environment and monitor their intake. That, and your attitude is horse shite and unhelpful.

My 2 cents ...
Diet is the foundation. If you continue to eat junk then the results will be slow and that leads to quitting.
I have found though that ...its tough to get started but overcoming that initial "i'll start tomorrow" mentality but once i have been consistent at ...getting out and running /lifting. I feel bad when i have unplanned skips and also the junk food becomes easier to turn down. In short, getting going is harder than staying going
Build in time for proper stretching. Not the HS PE "coach" stuff but proper unrushed stretching routine

I'm the exact opposite when it comes to this. I find that whenever I am busting my arse to eat right it makes me more motivated to exercise. I want to maximize the results.

I 100000% agree with you here though. For me, I was stuffed like a pig after eating for Christmas, and I just had a "frick this" moment. The first few days took some adjusting, but now if I eat just sort of like I used to I feel terrible. It's actually become much easier to eat better, and more difficult not to. And I'm seeing solid results.

yet you are the one that sounds like a dumbass. there is not a single study that shows fasting for anything less than 3 days improves metabolism. Not fricking one. There is only one study that shows fasting at all improves metabolism and that is after fasting for 3 days.
and you know why keto works.....wait for it....because you are in a deficeit. Again you sound like an idiot.
What works is being in a defceit and compliance. If that is using IF and keto to achieve that, good. if not find something that works for you.
if you were not such a little bitch about things and your attitude didnt suck, well then i wouldnt be a dick back
also the reason you are having to rinse and repeat is because you arent on something substainable for most people.
