Wild Spring Dunes

I saw it just opened this week. Anyone get a chance to play it? It’s around Mt. Enterprise Tx I believe. Same people that built Banded Dunes as well as Pinehurst #9 or 10. I read it walking only, can’t even use pull carts so that’ll be interesting.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but where did you see that? Bandon and Sand Valley both have push carts for free. Seems weird they wouldn't have the same set up for WSD.
I booked a foursome the week after Christmas. I'm pretty excited considering the amazing experiences we had at the other two resorts the last two years.

That’s what it says on the website. It says no push carts allowed at this time, hopefully that will change at some point.

It's $195 in December when I go. If I wanted to play Black horse down the street, it would be $150. Caddie will be another $120 after tip. So, $315. Is that a crazy amount of money to hit a ball with a stick for 4 hours, yeah. However, golf isn't getting any cheaper. I'll pay that once a year to play a Tom Doak course a couple hours away.

Only a little over an hour from me, I want to get a group together to go. Videos look incredible.
I did see one guy post online that played there and said the layout was awful. I have a hard time believing that and he might not have even played but was just curious because of that comment.

I'm not going to rule out the possibility, but I doubt that is the case. The Keiser's have a pretty good formula in place. Find sand, hire Doak or C&C and stay out of their way, profit. Maybe Doak went nuts and designed something that is bad because he has nobody to check him at this stage in his career, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until I see it.

I'm interested in getting a review from you after this weekend. We have a foursome going to play Oct. 3. We just did a forecaddie, and we are carrying our own bag. Still $297 a round before the caddy tip. Well worth it to try a brand new course that may only be available for stay and play within a couple years.

So no cart paths, carts or pull carts ?
I assume there will be some elevation to the course.
That will eliminate a lot of seniors with bad knees and backs like me who are willing to pay the cost of playing.

At Bandon they have carts available for disabled people. I assume that is what the other poster is talking about. I'm almost certain able bodied people cannot walk any of these Keiser courses.
