It’s not necessarily just one club but my biggest problem is getting way too quick in my transition at the top leading to a nasty pull hook.
Have to remember to almost pause at the top and be smooth in my transition. This mainly effects driver and longer clubs

Couldn't hit a driver off the tee to save my life.. been relying on a high lofted 3w so needless to say I'm making a bit harder on myself.. Got fitted for a driver last week and just got it in today.. Hopefully i can be a bit more long and consistent off the tee..
chipping and pitching is second at the moment..

I was having this issue and realized that I had the club (left hand) too far in my palm and not in my fingers. I changed that and have been hitting fairways like never before. Couldnt believe that little tweak made such a huge difference.
I'll have to try that. Thanks.

Hope it works for ya. After a few swings, you should notice a huge improvement on the control that you have on the club. Check out Adam Scott's grip routine. Basically, the same thing.

Chipping… always chipping.
Driver is good, putts if they don’t go down are close. Hitting number pretty good with irons.
Give me a chip, not even a really hard one and my game runs and hides.

It’s a close competition between distance and accuracy.
Other than that, I’m dialed in.
Seriously, I’m not swinging the driver well currently.

Been basically learning from the beginning over the last 4 years. It's amazing how you really need to correct one thing until moving onto the next. My main issue for years was getting my weight forward properly in the swing. Now my weight distribution is second nature I can finally now concentrate on coming more in to out and get rid of the steep swing.
With that said its just more consistent ball striking especially as I get past 7 iron into longer clubs. Really hoping this year I can turn the corner and being more in to out/neutral and have more consistent strikes off the fairway

Baptism might work, but maybe sprinkle them first.
Many golf clubs are just heathens, and need a good amount of profane oratory to become useful. It can take almost a Scarface level of bad language to get a set of wedges to truly behave and understand how they are supposed to work. Hitting the ground behind the ball, followed by a full throated Full Metal Jacket Drill Sergeant voice level disciplinary cursing might help. Fair warning, I’ve tried almost every conceivable combination of profane words, but some golf balls and clubs are just unresponsive to anything.

Finding someone for a round that's just as off as I am, LOL.
Golf is a game i love to hate.

50-150 yd shots are killing me!! Frustrating to stripe a drive and then miss the green! Chipping is tough on short (no) grass and wet conditions. It will get better when the ball isn’t sitting on wet ground!

Bunkers, and can’t really work fades. Although I randomly can hit heel cut drivers in play during rounds.
I think the best thing I have been doing in the last year or so is sticking to my strengths. After I saw Bryson win a U.S. Open hitting maybe 1 fade in 72 holes, it proved that you can play some pretty damn good golf if you lean into your natural shot shape and strengths.
So I play my 10-15 yard draw all round and just play bunker avoidance for the most part. And the blow up holes disappeared.

I can not hit a 5 iron and can't hit a 6 iron confidently.
Everything else is solid.

What’s happening when you’re chipping now? Are you shanking it? Hitting it fat? All the above?
I had these issues and went to an instructor to get them fixed. If your issues are the above ones, then they were the same as mine. Three things that he showed me:
1. Standing too close to the ball which causes the heel shank
2. My hips were outrunning my hands so needed to get chest, arms and hips in sync. Basically needed to slow down my hips.
3. I was stopping my follow through so having me focus on getting my right shoulder through and finish high. The follow through swing should be longer than the back swing.

Like many here it’s chipping. If my short game shows up I can get around a golf course. If it doesn’t I can get yippy real quick and put up some big numbers. Puts entirely too much pressure on my iron play.
I usually use an 8 iron for anything I can keep on the ground, but if a shot requires loft it gets dicey.

All of the above. On the practice green I’m pretty good because I’m nice and loose and have zero pressure. Standing over a real shot I get very tense and have a ton of bad thoughts that usually come to fruition.

Anyone around BR that you used or recommend strictly for short game?

I can't get distance from my longer irons / hybrids
I can hit my 7 iron about 165
My next club up is a 5 hybrid that I can hit about 190
Any distance above that, I'm having to layup

Father time, each year, I lose a little bit of flexibility and distance.

My tempo has always been very fast but lately its out of whack.
Im trying to have a consistent tempo on every shot.
Golf really is all about tempo, that how consistency happens.
Its hard to work on tho.

Currently, my irons are all over the place. Distance, accuracy, fat, thin you name it.
