Average PGA driver swing speed is 115.
I’m sure they’re holding back and keeping it controlled.
I’m in my 40s and roll at 105 normally. I can get to 110 but lose the face.

Of course they are. Jake Knapp did a video where he topped out at 132. He cruises way under that.

And a recent good one on the course.
120+ swing speed and playing from the women's tees.

105 on a good day. 90-95 most days.

White Tees. Not a lot of people around who can play back or one ups and enjoy it so I play up with my friends so they can enjoy the day.
This also happened to be a men's club tournament so no splitting tees.

On a sim, the fastest I could get was 104, that was giving it all I had at 54yo. Id say I probably stay in the upper 90's when I'm playing.

My normal driver speed is 101. When I give it everything I have, it is 108... and the ball doesn't go as far.

not posting mine for fear of embarrassment until I see some numbers.
I'm 46.. Fastest one I've been been able to record is 115.. But I felt like i was going to hurt myself continuing at that pace... I've been working on speed training because I'd like to see that speed without feeling like i'm going fling myself from my shoes and tear up my back.. fastest i can get where I feel comfortable is 108..
and no need to be embarrassed the numbers are the numbers .. My daughter tops out in the upper 90's and she can kick my arse from the same tee boxes.. mainly because she's more accurate with all of her shots..

It's been a while since I've been on my launch monitor, but this seems exactly where I'm at. I am very inefficient when I try to swing out of my shoes apparently. I feel like I likely swing about 104ish when I'm feeling confident. A nice easy fairway finder (which is completely relative to my ability
I've got a lot to work on before I care about improving my average distance (260ish). But will definitely need some lessons to see how I could ever crack that higher club head speed.

ypical broke to financial aid-Ivy League to upperish middle class story. Not bragging, just giving you the idea—a 6 iron was good enough to tee off with back in the day. Can still dial down with 5-PW.
What?

Yet we have a number of amateurs on TD that are at 120?
When you posted this there was one guy who claims to hit 125 and one other that says they'll do low 120s when going for max speed without care for where the ball goes.
Everyone else that posted was in the low 100s.

Sorry if you can't believe that an ex college baseball player can generate more club head speed than 135 pound Akshay Bhatia or 5'5 Brian Harman.
This is a great post. Dudes on the internet just can't believe an AMATEUR has more swing speed than a pro. Can't fathom it.
