UClub is up there, from the tips it’s incredibly difficult. So dang long.

I think Poppy Hills so far. For some reason it played harder than Pebble. Spyglass and pasatiempo are coming up so those might change my answer.

ETA: they just played the NCGA amateur at Poppy and they brought in the fairways and rolled the greens.

Pinehurst 2 was humbling for sure. I did however hit it into the bunker on 18 and then proceeded to hit a great shot to about 18” and get a cheer from those on the patio.

Pinehurst 2

Kapalua was brutal too, not necessarily the course but the wind that day was whipping.

River Course at Blackwolf is up there, too. I thought that course was way harder than Whistling. The greens there are absurd.

I am glad someone else feels my pain. There were some holes where inside the club was a gimmie or we wouldn't have left the green.

St. Andrews Old Course in September, many years ago. It was cold, WINDY, and rainy. At the time I was about an 10 handicap. I shot a 109. Those pot bunkers are a killer.

It was a lifetime ago.

Played a practice round with Davis Love III (who I knew from having lived in St. Simons) and Steve Jones (who went on to win that week). I broke 80 both days and missed the cut by a mile.

That sounds brutal.

I play for fun. That seems painful.

#2 on Sleepy Hollow is one of the best par 3’s you’ll find for a public park-run course. It’s a great old school track.

Played there years back and loved it. Capitol Hill is an awesome property. I remember somebody who worked there told me the Judge was trying to campaign to host a US Open at some point. Not sure it would have the infrastructure for it though.

Forgot about this one. Damn, it was a slog, both physically and mentally. Just no let up from the 1st tee to the 18th green.

Indeed it is. Was there last Friday and the #2, 235 yard, par 3, let me leave it with a 4. Bailed out short of green left, chipped up and was lucky to get out with a 2 putt.
