What do you do from 60 to 100 yards out?

Example: you're 70 yards from a fairly unassuming, non elevated, green.
Are you hitting some kind of full 50-60 degree wedge or are you bumping it up there with a 7/8 iron or a 44 degree PW?

I think most amatuers struggle with this shot at different times.

I'm hitting a 56 and choking up depending on the distance. I'm also limiting the length of the back swing and trying to focus on accelerating through contact. One of my problems with this shot has always been decelerating and chunking it.

Choke up a bit on a 60 degree wedge.

It really depends on where the flag is. Front, back, tucked behind a bunker, etc. Middle of the green I’m going choked down 3/4 60 degree

That's a great tip. I'm just starting to play again, and this is one of the small things I've seemed to have forgotten.

If I slow down at the bottom I'll usually hit it thin, which sometimes works out, but isn't preferable.

60 and adjust swing speed depending on the length.

If I'm closer to 60 and below, I pull out a 56 and truly start chipping at the flag.

It depends on what kind of lie and yardage I have. Closer to 100, I'm going with my lob wedge taking an easier swing. If I'm 50 or closer, my safety blanket shot is a choked down pitching wedge. I've struggled a ton with this shot and using the pitching wedge helped a ton.

I lose money to the old men from that range.

65-90 yards Im hitting my 60 degree. 65 or less and 90-110 Im hitting my 52 degree and adjusting swing speed and back swing length accordingly.

I use my 56.

I never swing a wedge more than 3/4 so 60 would be a shade over a half wedge.
90 is my number for a 3/4 56.

At 100, I’m using my 52.

It depends. I've spent a lot of time on my short game the last 6 months. I'm comfortable with my 60* up to 90 yds out. And I use it almost exclusively inside of 70. That 70-90 range depends on the lie and hole location. If I have plenty of green with a good lie, I'll go with my 54 with a controlled shot/spin. I've gotten much more comfortable with that shot.

70 yards would be a smooth 58 degree and let it land soft.

I recently dropped my 3 hybrid to add another wedge to the bag, and gapped them to where I have a wedge for 60, 85, and 110 yards. Anything beyond that is a throttled PW up to about 135 or so

This. Front = 58*. Middle could be any of my lofted wedges. Back is probably going to be punched 54 or maybe even 50.

About a 3/4 swing with 58°. If its windy, I'll probably hit a knockdown 54°

It all depends on the lie. In a perfect situation I'm hitting a 60*, but I have a 70-75 yd swing for my 56*

I prefer the 140 yard bladed 60 degree wedge from this distance

I only use that shot when I want to put the ball safely in the lake behind the green.
