Thoughts? Always been a ProV1X player. Tried the maxfli tour x this week. Thought it was a good ball.

This is what I play and I can tell you that it gets good distance off of the tee but where it really shines is on approach shots. It gets a ton of bite and backspin so you can get very aggressive going for the pin

I’m playing the ProV1X also. I find it shorter off the tee than some others I’ve tried, but I love the way it plays with irons and wedges.

Interesting. Too hard? Too soft? Have you tried all 3 Tour models?
The Tour S has REALLY good reviews.
I like the feel of the Tour, but I get better response from the Tour X.
Have not tried the Tour S.

Too hard/clicky for me. Felt like a rock. Tried all of the models out and none felt right to me.

I’m gaming chrome tour x right now.

Ive recently gone to the AVX and love them. The only part of my game I really notice a difference is off the tee (im not great I know). The AVX is the straightest I have ever hit.

I haven’t played Pro V’s for a while, played the Maxfli Tour, very good ball, but a didn’t like the off white color, the PXG Tour is bright white, very durable, spins great around the greens, and is very consistent. You can get the Extreme X if you are a high speed player. Would highly recommend this ball to anyone.

Maxfli Tour X

That's a good ball. My only complaint was you'd play 3-4 holes with it and it looked like it was already worn out.

I used to play the ProV and I spent a year testing out new balls. The closest I've found to it are the Srixon Z Star, Bridgestone Tour and the Maxfli Tour.

Srixon Star fits my game the best. Legit love that ball and have no desire to go back to the ProV. Won a dozen of them last month and haven't even opened the sleeve.

Maxfli Tour X.

I keep going to Costco hoping the find the updated 3.5 version to give that a try. Still no luck on that front.

Played ProV1 for a long time b/c I could get them through work for what it cost for a box of Maxflis.

I think ProV1 is still my favorite ball, I just can't justify the cost.

Back in 2021-2023 time frame, Wal Mart would have the "old" Z stars for like $24.99 a dozen where I live. I played the shite out of them and love the ball.

With the ProV1 I think what I like most is the way it feels off my driver face. The Z star and MaxFli lines are really close for me though, and I'm not good enough to justify the price difference.

I actually haven't had durability issues with the Tour X. Played 16 Saturday with 1 ball and it looked fine before it was gone forever off the 17th tee.

Pro V1 till I run out. Got 9 dozen off The Judge last week it was open. Still using them.

It opens back up in September. I may still have a few then.

Damn, are they doing some kind of overhaul? I've only played it once, but it was a badass golf course
