Currently using a 15 deg TaylorMade RBZ.

What are you looking to spend?
Sim 2’s are pretty decent and won’t break the bank. Going by Dicks today also I think it was some Cobra’s they have on sale right now, the new ones were 199 while the used ones were 239.
If you’re looking to go on the high end, then I would say get fitted and buy what suites you best.

What do you want out of it?
Fairway finder, distance, accuracy?
Lots of options, I’d look for Callaway ai smoke. 2 year old model, can still find new and discounted. 3 or 5w you can adjust up or down

Qi10 is great.

Callaway ai smoke
This is what I use. The ball is hot off the face and accurate.

Taylor Made makes the best fairways IMO, and I’m a Titleist wood fanboy

The RBZ is a great fairway wood. No reason to change IMO

Callaways do well for me.

I agree on the AI smoke. I have the 3 wood and it is very hot yet forgiving off the face

First, thanks for all the responses and recs. The Callaway Ai Smoke and the TM Qi series look amazing.
I'm mid-60s now (age) and haven't played a lot the last few years (3X so far this year). Can still get over 100 MPH with a driver so I can still run it out there on occasion.
Have previously hit a Ping i3 12 deg and a Callaway 2W (13 deg). Both very good clubs - lots of fond memories. My RBX needs a new shaft so I thought maybe it's time to for something new. Dunno. As chew4219 noted, it's a fantastic club in it's own right.
Thanks again everyone.

Both are excellent. Many people also swear by Ping. The major difference between Callaway and Taylor made is face height. Callaway has a shallow face that is easier to hit off the ground but harder head off the tee. Taylormade has a deep face for a fairway wood, which some people find difficult to hit off the ground, particularly its you are shallow and tend to hit low on the face with irons/fairways. Pings are similar to callaway but tend to be a little more forgiving with higher spin and less distance.
I would really recommend you get fit for a fairway wood though. It’s not easy hitting a fairway wood off the deck. Getting the right head and loft is huge ( shaft as well). For most people I would wager that a 4 or 5 wood would be better than a 3 wood, with which they struggle to get enough launch and spin. They lose carry distance, consistency and accuracy. 4 or 5 is much easier to hit, will be more consistent, and go a similar distance

I love my Mizuno ST-Z’s.

TaylorMade RBZ.
That is a legendary 3wood already.
I remember I could hit mine farther than my driver sometimes. I had the white clubhead but I think they offered a couple different looks. Hit it twice on a par 5 and be putting for eagle. I could swing that club as hard as possible and crush a baby fade.

Just got the Quantum Max OS and love it.

I’ll agree Srixon fairway woods are underrated. Played their 3 wood a few years ago as a demo when mine was getting repaired. Made a switch and put the ZXi model in bag this year and haven’t looked back.
