Miami did not support the event. They shouldn’t get it back

Was listening to Kisner talk to Charlie Hoffman on a podcast and Hoffman was talking about the major cities being horrible to host events and that the crowds are just not great. Those smaller towns that host events, it's the best thing going on in town and the fans come out to support the events.

Honestly, from my understanding that is all sporting events in Miami. They don't have huge support there because of a lot of transplants and people generally going do other things vs. watching sporting events. MLB/NFL/NBA games are notoriously low attendance.

If LIV had an event with attendance that bad, Chamblee would talk for an hour about it on the golf channel. It was abysmal.

since when has the crowd size determined the success of the golf tournament? Who gives a shite if no one shows up. Its the golf that matters

How in the hell do you even rebuttal that?

You are saying crowd size and interest means nothing for a PGA tour event. Dude there is no logical conversation to have with you . It’s by far the most important thing, maybe the ONLY thing that actually matters . They don’t run on sunshine and pixie dust

The golf doesnt matter, just the guys screaming mashed potatoes!!! Its the ONLY thing that actually matters!!

People dont watch golf for the crowds, nor is the success of the tournament determined by fan interaction, but by the quality of golf and the entertainment produced from it.

If there is no crowds and the ratings are down(those will come out today), I would say the entertainment piece failed

I don’t give a shite if it’s LIV or the PGA, I’ll point out when an event was poor

Has to be the sleepiest, worst signature event on the schedule. They need to do something to bring some life to this part of the calendar.

A bazillion people go to the F1 race. It's a spectacle. Was pretty dumb to schedule the event the same weekend as the F1 race.

The Dolphins owner makes more money at the F1 race than he does for an entire season of NFL.

and then argue the point ad nauseum, even when most everyone agrees with you.

Its all good. You are a good advesary to Pirate King's role as the Baghdad Bob of LIV. (If you remember that guy from the Persian Gulf War).

And to your credit, you (usually) have a sound argument.

Y’all can argue about this or that but nothing is going to change the fact that this tournament flat out sucked. Lacked juice or any excitement. Cam running away with it didn’t help things but other than Speith’s incredible Thursday there was nothing redeeming about this tournament.

Sounds like every other non-Major event to me.

It should have been played 6 weeks or a month ago in the same timeframe as The Players and Bay Hill and the Cognizant or Valspar need to go away. All of these flat courses with a bunch of water in Florida start looking the same in March and April. No need to double back to one in May.

Quail Hollow should have been this past weekend with a non-sig event this coming weekend before the PGA next weekend.

Agreed. Need to avoid the F1 weekend. There were 150,000 people there this weekend

I can guarantee you the Doral ratings will easily be ahead of the Zurich. Players draw ratings, and good players are skipping the Zurich in droves.

You also had other things going on this weekend in Miami. You had the F1 race which draws 250,000+.

New Orleans last week had jazz fest ….

I’m sorry these excuses are just that, excuses. You are going to a reduced tier 1 schedule. You don’t get a second shot when you have that bad of attendance
