Putting it on the same weekend as F1 was exceptionally dumb.
Same with playing the Zurich the same weekend as Jazz Fest. The argument that the players/wives like to come and go to the festival doesn't hold water anymore either because the strength of the field is weak.

no way you're serious right
Zurich had 116k in 2024, 120k in 2025, 2026 numbers not yet released.
Single high day so far has been 37k. It was very easy for you to look this up before being an ignorant idiot, again. Zurich is a very successful event

16 alone at the Waste Management has more spectators than all of the Zurich on any given day.

Oh look you are head wrong too. Shocking.

That's convenient. Also tickets sold is not actual attendance.

I gave you actual attendance numbers….Learn to use simple google for things like this and the weather and you can prevent yourself from looking like an idiot

You are saying crowd size and interest means nothing for a PGA tour event. Dude there is no logical conversation to have with you . It’s by far the most important thing, maybe the ONLY thing that actually matters .

It’s a shame you haven’t mastered this yourself.

Worst crowd I’ve ever seen at a signature event (it’s way worse than the Zurich actually). And the course doesn’t really seem to have teeth anymore anyway
Aw… they weren’t saying that about the LIV event last year were they?

You told us in the other thread that the 2026 zurich was the worst event in history and had attendance lower than the worst LIV events. What information led you to making those statements?

Ratings for Doral are in. fricking failure
Zurich averaged 2.08M. So one of the worst field events is on par with a sig event. That’s terrible.
Byron nelson last year(non signature event) on the same weekend as Doral averaged 2.9 million

CBS averaged 2.151M viewers in its 3-6 window.

I can guarantee you the Doral ratings will easily be ahead of the Zurich. Players draw ratings, and good players are skipping the Zurich in droves.
Barely edged out Zurich with a stacked field lol

I disagree - Doral is a great course, and I was glad to see it back on the Tour. The issue is that it needs to be part of the Florida swing in March. The PGA should also move the PGA Championship back to August.

Everyone keeps saying “I disagree”
This isn’t an opinion at this point. The ratings and attendance at Doral were absolutely horrendous

Well when you have 500,000+ people walking through the turnstiles to party in the desert and you gotta stick a lot of the some where.. and 16 hold around 20K people at time.. So yeah that's a pretty close assumption
Posted on 5/6/26 at 11:10 am to DarkDrifter
Zurich gets over 30k per day on the weekend. So no, his assumption wasn’t correct
