Worst crowd I’ve ever seen at a signature event (it’s way worse than the Zurich actually). And the course doesn’t really seem to have teeth anymore anyway

I don't agree.

They can make the course play harder.

What don’t you agree with? The crowds are awful man. Miami did not support the event. They shouldn’t get it back

The crowd is definitely dead. Cam dog walking the field isn’t doing the broadcast any favors either.

They had the course playing firm and fast yesterday, but the rain softening it up and no wind has taken any bite it had out today.

I don’t care about the course much it was just a comment about how it doesn’t really feel “iconic”, which would be the only possible way to save an event that is this poorly attended.

Some alternate events get better crowds

I agree. The course doesn’t do anything for me.

Rolapp needs to be taking notes. The only thing I didn’t like about his presser at the Players was the desire to go to big markets just to be in big markets. I’m not a fan of that thought process.

Go to the iconic courses that draw a solid crowd and the product will take care of itself.

I agree. A big market doesn’t mean shite for golf, I’m worried his football thinking maybe clouding his judgement there

1st time back and the weather been iffy.

Promote it correctly and the crowds will be there. Rory and a few others missing the event hurt.

It's easy enough to toughen up the course.

Tiger and Phil had a epic battle on this course. The course is fine.

Thurs, Friday, and Saturday were horrifically attended as well.

There isn’t any hiding from this . The Zurich had worse overall weather as well. There isn’t an excuse for these crowds

A new deeper tee box on 18 is needed to add drama.

The course rating is 77.4 and slope 146.

Crowds could be limited due to the President being there.

Miami is full of international immigrants who aren’t interested in golf, it’s a very spread out metro area, the weather is terrible and F1 is also in Miami this weekend. This tournament was doomed from the start.

Anyone ever play Colony West in the Miami area ?

We played there in the late it's. It was a brute of a course. Played really long from the tips and it seemed like it has a hundred bunkers.

The Pro told us that the Nike Tour back then said it was too hard lol..

One of the worst tournaments of the year so far. No redeeming quality.

Putting it on the same weekend as F1 was exceptionally dumb.

The people that matter most are the players. Plenty of top 30 OWGR types and following top 50 FedEx last season.

These types avoid NOLA and the Zurich like the plague. Nobody is talking about eliminating Doral like the Zurich and the purse is nearly a double.

Quite impressive with that weak of a field the Zurich and the city of New Orleans produced a far better golf tournament than Miami and Doral

Literally every single player on that list besides Cam Young and possibly Hideki has played in the Zurich team event.

So CY shot -19 then Scottie was -13. CY just lapped the field. However Pebble Beach ATT top 4 were -22, -21, -20 and -20. The Genesis, Tigers Event, top 4, -18, -17, -17, -16.

I guess they should move those other 2 events while they are at it. Either that or turn som traps into quick sand.

AI is a bitch.

The hardest hole at Trump National Doral is the 18th hole on the Blue Monster course. It is a 473-486 yard par-4 known as one of the toughest finishing holes on the PGA Tour, often playing over a half-stroke over par due to a narrow fairway, forced carry over water, and left-to-right wind.

Again maybe if they put some Velociraptors in the bushes it would be hard enough.

Y’all can argue about this or that but nothing is going to change the fact that this tournament flat out sucked. Lacked juice or any excitement. Cam running away with it didn’t help things but other than Speith’s incredible Thursday there was nothing redeeming about this tournament.
