The arse vs. titties debate of the golf world. What shape do you play and why?

Are you happy with your stock shape or have you tried to change it?

I play a fade off the tee, and I've come to live with it. Keeps one side out of play at least.

Would love to be able to hit the ball left to right. Can’t do it. Gave up.

My stock shot is a push draw with all clubs. It can quickly turn into a low supersonic hook when I’m not swinging it well.

I played a fade for most of my life. My home course really sets up for a draw. I would never go back.

Aim at the right trees and bring it back.

I hit a high slaw. It is aching of beauty.

Same, it’s either straight or draw, it isn’t moving the other way ever, pros love to eliminate the left side, I’ve been eliminating the right side for 20+ years.

I guess we have something going for us then

I have no fear of anything down the right side of a golf course. Couldn’t even tell you what’s over there

I primarily play a draw and just joined a club that has a nine where the ideal tee shot is a fade on all but one of the fours and fives. I’ve been trying to hit a cut but hit a pull draw about half the time and that can put you in some bad places. I’d love some tips on how to get my swing path more outside-in

I can fade it reliably.
I can draw it sometimes.

I usually just try to keep it between the tree lines.
In general, I move it gently left to right.

I’ve got a sweet double cross sometimes if I go after it.

For a power fade, you still swing the club inside out.

I’ll put a few links.

The changes needed relate to address and face angle.

If I hit a slice on the range before playing, I will be playing a hook on the course.

Started off with a fade, then focused a year on really getting my drive to go straight. Eventually that led to a miss being a draw. Or a duck hook if I get rushed with the hands. Most of my game now days is straight or a slight fade.

I have a natural draw to my shots, so that’s what I play. I’ve never been taught how to hit a fade, so I don’t even try. If my ball goes right it’s because I’m late in my swing and have pushed it.

Straight to draw because I cannot do anything else. I tend to shut the face down with an inside to out swing. To fade, i really have to open up and consciously swing across. I rarely pull it off.

I play a natural draw, but wish I played a fade. When I'm not hitting the driver well it's tough to manage a draw.

Azinger said "To become a good golfer, you must first be able to hook it. Then, you should spend the rest of your life trying to never hook it again!"

And trevino, "You can talk to a fade but a hook just won't listen."

I've played a natural fade since I started 20 years ago. It's normally one of my best clubs but I'm a bit out of control right now with my driver so a draw comes into play when my game is off.

Surprised by the number of people who want the fade instead of a draw.

Edit: Also, arse > titties
