I have had the opportunity to play a few solo rounds lately. They are either early morning or afternoon.

I love it. You get to move quickly and enjoy the round more.

What do you say?

It’s great for doing whatever and hitting multiple balls. It also frees you up to go play whenever.

I live on a course. So a few holes in the afternoon happen often. I don’t really play 18 alone anymore. I like it for the lack of distractions. Relaxation. And the chance to hit more shots to work on something specific.

I enjoy some competition with my boys, but when i get to play by myself i absolutely love it. If it wasn’t for the competition I’d prefer it.

I rarely ever play a solo round. For some reason I seem to do worse on solo rounds. Can't figure out why. Maybe I'm rushing it. But I also struggle when the pace is really slow.

I also have an irrational fear of hitting a hole in one when nobody is around to see it.

I do it all the time. I live close to City Park in Nola, so it's easy for me to finish whatever I have to do on a weekend, sit down and relax for a minute, then just decide to go play a late afternoon round real quick. I'll just decide to go last minute, so it's easier for me to just go alone.

I feel like I get some good work in that way. I try to hit the same shot with multiple ball flights to figure out what would have been the better shot.

During the spring of Covid I played many rounds solo. I would walk Dumas several times a week. Nobody played that course during the initial shutdown. I enjoy playing solo, but tend to not as much when its LA hot. Misery lives company.

I’ve played TPC Louisiana solo a few dozen times. Nothing beats it. You can be done in 2.5 hours and hit multiple balls and shots to see what else you could have tried.

I do.

It rarely happens because I play regularly with my best friend since childhood, a couple of my neighbors, and also my 7-year-old

I prefer playing with them than playing solo, but it's nice playing a round with no one else.

Played 18 solo at the wetlands a couple weeks back and realized after the round I didn't say an entire word for the whole round.

Didn't even curse myself.

I like playing solo. Matter of fact one of my best rounds ever was solo at the Bluffs. Only problems are, sometimes I rush myself and I hate playing thru. I do like to play fast but once I hit a bad shot, I'm in practice mode and don't keep score.

same, twilight solo golf is great. I can take my cart and pop out on a par 5 from my street then play a loop with par 5, then par 4, then par 3 and call it an evening.

When I was in grad school, I played by myself all the time. I enjoyed it. I'd usually play two balls and it allowed me to work on my game a lot more than just going to the driving range without feeling worried about holding anyone up. I also found it quite peaceful and serene to play alone.

An early evening solo round with an empty course is the closest thing to heaven this lifetime gets.

I absolutely love playing solo rounds. Nothing better than an early morning Saturday or Sunday, tee off about 7:15 am. Nobody out there yet, sun just coming up, dew on the ground. Walk using push cart, put some classic rock on the bluetooth speaker, and light up a cigar.

My lock screen on my phone is a shot I hit on #5 at Oakbourne during one of these rounds. My second shot from 190 using a 4 hybrid, hit to about 4 feet. It was such a picturesque moment.

Love it if I can fly through and play in under 2 hours. Ever since COVID, no matter what time of day I go I'm stuck waiting by the first green so it's not as fun.
