Best 3 Wood (Apologize as I'm sure this would be a repeat topic)
Currently play a taylormade rocketballz 13 degree 3 wood. The thing flies and I can't say I'm in the market other than recognizing decent wear on the face.

Will keep my shaft so just looking to see what the boards opinions are....thanks in advance.

if you hit your 3 wood consistently well play it till it snaps in half.

I can't say the last two comments aren't what I have lived by....maybe just an itch that needs to fade soon (pun intended)

I keep going back to my RBZ Tour 17.5° 4 wood. It's really hard to beat.

If you have one you can hit don’t get rid of it. 3 wood is the hardest club in the bag to find a fit IMO. There’s a reason even guys on tour are hitting old models.

Titleist 913 FD Low Spin here (came out in 2012).

No plans on changing mine anytime soon.

If you love the way you hit it, they should have to pry it from your cold dead hands IMO. Hard to find a 3wd that you love. Setting yourself up for buyers remorse, lol. Get a new putter, that will be new and shiny

I recently made te switch from Rocketballz 5 wood to the SIM Max. Getting 20 more yards of distance and it flies on a string.

Play it until it breaks. That club is the hardest to fit in the bag IMO.

After it breaks, look at the Ping 425

It's the one club after your putter that you just don't switch if you are hitting it clean

itch has been cured.....wait until it breaks. Will continue on that path.

Thanks for the putter change advice but brought mine and compared to others at an outlet with zero confidence in spending a dime on something else.

Applies to 3 wood too apparently.

Steelhead plus is still in my bag. I’ve tried to upgrade technology several times, but cannot find anything that feels better for me. I know it’s old but consistently hitting it 230 where I want is better than 250 and just hoping it goes where I want.

ETA:

Bought an RBZ after seeing everyone recommending them. Guess that will be another one collecting dust in a few months when I go back to the steelhead plus again.

I'm still hitting a RBZ driver. No point in changing when it works. Those rbz 3 woods are good. If your not getting fitted I wouldn't change.

Every new club comes out claiming farther and straighter. If that were true we would all be hitting 400 yds consistently. Golf club marketing is great.

They've all been the same for like 5-10 years.

Keep hitting the one you have.

Woods are a huge scam.

re: Best 3 Wood (Apologize as I'm sure this would be a repeat topic)
I've been hitting the Taylormade SLDR Type S for years now. I think it came out in 2012. I've tried to switch to new Taylormade models at least every other year since then, and I always end up sending them back. They all feel like shite. I haven't found anything that feels remotely as good as the SLDR.

I find that most of the new tech has clubheads that are entirely too large with a deep face. It seems hard to NOT take a divot. The SLDR has a super shallow face and it just glides over the turf so smooth.

Good advice in this thread. If you love it, DON'T let it go
