The PGA Policy Board received a letter from Anti-trust heavyweight law firm Susman Godfrey LLP with concerns the PGA Tour has made decisions that materially impact their clients due to undisclosed conflicts of interest by the PGA Tour Policy Board. The 21 PGA golfers are all mid-tier Pros. Turning down the PIF's $1 billion dollar equalization pool offer to PGA players was probably not the smartest of ideas.

ESPN: Golfers seek transparency on PIF deals

A law firm representing 21 PGA Tour players, including former Masters champion Danny Willett, sent a letter to the PGA Tour's policy board Sunday, demanding transparency and a meeting with the board's independent directors to discuss potential deals with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and a U.S. equity group being led by Fenway Sports Group.

In the letter, attorney Jacob Buchdahl of Susman Godfrey LLC of New York, complained that most PGA Tour golfers had been "kept entirely in the dark" while the policy board negotiated a deal that might transform the tour in which the players are members.

"The board has recently received multiple bids by prospective capital partners that will potentially transform how the PGA Tour operates, who controls it, and who owns it," Buchdahl wrote. "All but a handful of PGA Tour players have been kept entirely in the dark about the prospective transaction, how it will impact them, and what conflicts of interest may impact the decision-makers."

The more that comes out, the more that the pga tour bootlickers, like Brandel Chamee and idiots here, look stupid.

Monahan and company are a bunch of fricking scum bags.

Tommy two gloves has standing?

But on the whole ... How do you keep hundreds, who have a legitimate interest in the outcomes, in the know... But also knowing that if three people find out, then two are going to leak details to a podcast within 30 min of finding out... There by hampening the possibility of the best deal

I’ve been against Susman on the patent side. Good luck!

This will be known as the “mule-suit” or something similar. I will agree that one thing that might be good out of all this is that there are too many professional golfers on the tours. I think if most tournaments had half the guys if sound be better, but it would be qualification based, not how LIV does it.

Two things can be true at once: I don’t give a shite if Tommy “Two Gloves” and James Hahn ever tee it up again for the PGA Tour. And the Tour management, Monahan etc, has done a monumentally poor job navigating the LIV threat.

How did I know James Hahn's name was gonna be on the list before getting to the bottom?

These bottom guys better be careful. What makes the most sense from a tour perspective is to completely get rid of these bottom tier guys. It’s about money money money now only, and they are expenses on the balance sheet not revenue earners

I think that’s why you’re seeing the lawsuit. Every name on that list knows they have no pull on the PGA tour and decisions are being made without them.

I totally understand their want to have their voice heard.

Piercy is not a nobody. He has won 4 times and made over $23M in his career. I wish I could be a nobody like that.

If the PGA tour truly wants to maximize profit, they would cut down to like 30 golfers. I guess that is where we are headed. Shrinking the game

Yep, 30 golfers that play in one tournament a month.

I'm about to the point of just burn it all down. I've quit watching other sports and haven't missed them at all and I'm sure golf will be the same sans the Masters.

That's exactly what will happen if the Tour gets private equity involved, and is also exactly why these bottom tier guys are worried and had an attorney write this letter
