When did you buy your mobo? It may already have the updated bios to enable 5xxx functionality

I would say it has good odds of having the right bios for you. Do the build out of the case to make sure it'll boot into the bios, once you confirm it can, you can move it all to the case

Edit: God I hate ordering through Newegg. Amazon has spoiled any sort of online ordering. Placed my order for my new ram on 12/31, shipping was uploaded on 1/4 but they didn't actually deliver it to the post office until today

That’s Newegg... they did the same thing with my motherboard and power supply.

I honestly try to avoid Newegg for any purchase unless literally they are the ONLY supplier I can get something from.

So apparently ALL GPU retail prices are increasing by 25% due to tariffs.

Lmao this should help with GPU availability

Same. I ordered RAM on 12/27. Showed up yesterday, over a week late. Now they want to charge me $12 to ship it back as a return. I will not be using newegg again unless its the only choice.

So I've started messing with AMD's new PBO2 curve optimizer feature in the BIOS, and tried different undervolting settings.

I have a very small case for the 5600x, so undervolting to achieve higher clocks with better thermals is very interesting to me.

I ran Cinebench R23 with an negative magnitude offset for all cores set to 30 (roughly 3 to 5 millivolt steps), and my average all-core frequency in Cinebench R23 increased to 4.35 GHz from running at stock, which was 4.05 GHz, and improved my thermals by almost 3-4 degrees C.

This is not even the final PBO2 release. My BIOS is still using AGESA 1.1.0.0d, and the final release should be arriving with all motherboard vendors in AGESA 1.1.9.0 in a few weeks.

That is REALLY impressive gains.

Yeah I was reading similar on the AMD sub, Asus marketing manager posted the lastest beta bios and it was full of people saying they were stable with great gains and proper boosts.

So I am redoing my basement to have two VR spots and give me more room for my primary VR location. Getting rid of the home entertainment setup because it's been years since I used it to play consoles and watch movies. Usually watch movies with the kid in the wife in the upstairs living room. So now that I have two decent gaming machines and a few VR headset, want a place where I can be in VR and my wife or guests can make use of my other headsets. So I have to divide up my monitors and get at least one for my main rig.

What's best price for performance 27" IPS 1440p monitor, must be gsync? I have an old 27" Predator I want it to be ok with, currently looking at Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ. Looks similar to my Acer and appears ok on stats.

I got a couple Gigabyte M27Q’s (I think that’s the model). They’re 1440p, .5ms response, 170hz and I love them.

Do they make the same thing not curved? I hate curved. Amazon shows it a bit different on that link for flat.

You get used to the curve, I have an Odyssey G7 and at first it was apprehensive about it but now I can’t go back.
