There's three in four leaf fishpacking plant east of diamond city. One up top on the roof and two inside the building (you'll need to be in a quest to get in). There's also 1 or 2 (I think 2) in Arcjet (sp?) which you'll go to during the initial brotherhood of steel quest.
As far as making them, I'm not sure yet.
Spoiler:
If you want to get into vault 81, you'll need to give the overseer 3 fusion cores. So keep that in mind as to whether or not you want to go in and if it's worth it. So far, it hasn't been for me. I've tried to find them to steal them back but haven't found them yet.

Mother of God this is good.
The intro video was GREAT!
The intro section was solid. I like how barebones it is. They don't give you much guidance.
Thought I would hate voiced protagonist but I love it. Combat is great. Holy shite the feral ghouls scared the piss outta me first time! The physics stand out too. Dogmeat slinging a ghoul to the ground looked great and adds a new element. VATS is improved too. Too often in 3 and NV it felt like a cheat. This balances it. Like the perk system as well.

Went to attack some feral ghouls at a rail station thinking they were pretty docile. I got fricked up

They suck. I've fought them twice because I started over.

codsworth makes mince meat of the ghouls. got to where I just let him work the ghouls over whenever they attack so I can save my ammo.
also I just had codsworth take out a legendary attack dog. took it out in 3 swipes of his blade

Still can't get wires to attach from Generator to power things by pressing Y.
I'm on PC but it took me a minute to figure out. I had to select the generator and it turned into the wire, then i could click whatever i wanted the wire to go to

Haven't gotten one Armor Work Bench to work for me. My suit always seems to be low on power and I barely get to use it.
Hm. I havent used it much aside from that one time.

How are you supposed to charge the damn thing? Can't upgrade armor parts and I'm missing Left Arm and Right Leg parts to my suit. Any idea how to replace these or where to find new ones? Can I make them?
think you need fusion cores. make sure they are repaired before you can work on them. you got to get the power armor at its station to work on it, not the armor station

Pro tip.
If I'm out of lockpicks and a radio is near by. I turn that bitch on as an easy locator to a safe or whatever it is I need a picking.

Alright, I was all set to go pick this up in a few hours...but I'm hesitant to do so. It's getting really, really shitty user reviews (pause for laughter) metacritic.
I'm not normally one to GAF about the user scores there, but the scores seem so abnormally low it does make me take a second to decide. I realize I'm in a Fallout fanboy thread, but I'd like an honest assessment of the game play and mechanics on both the PS4 and PC. I was gonna get it for PC, but users have said that they cannot adjust keybinding and that is pretty much a no-go for me. Thanks.
Right now, scores are 5.4 and 4.8 for PS4 and PC, respectively.

Yeah I'm hearing it's a really big letdown. Gonna wait for a sale.

I've never played any of the fallout games so I'm completely new to this and maybe why I'm so lost with the combat and other things. A few questions-
Is the rocket garage my base? Is there any reason for me to be picking up everything I find? When using the VATS, what numbers should I be trying to hit? How th frick do you kill that big claw guy? How do I find Wordsworth (or whatever the robots name is) again?

The most tempting thing to do when starting these games. Every item will serve a purpose at some point, but there's no point in hoarding it until you know you'll need it. Some crafting items will need this, that, or the other, but don't clog up your inventory until you know it's necessary.

The percentages will tell you the chance you have in hitting that particular part of the enemy. But TO THIS DAY, I only ever aim for the head, so their all just blurry numbers to me.

Deathclaws are notorious pain-in-the-arse-ruin-your-day mobs, so if you're just starting off, you have no chance in taking them down. I haven't faced one yet so I don't know when exactly that's advisable.

The lower the user score, the less I care.
I'm 2 hours in and new to fallout. I'm very impressed. I'm on PC and it runs great but I use a game pad.
This game will probably be a letdown to any people but that's more because of ridiculous expectations.
