If you had to pick 1 gaming experience to relive like it was the first time, which one?

Started thinking about this with Giant Bomb discussing BLOPS 4, and one of them saying they appreciated it going back to more of what COD used to be, but that style of MP just isn't their thing anymore. Then I started reminiscing about the releases of COD 4, MW2, and BLOPS and how much excitement still existed in those franchises and how satisfying that MP was until everyone got better than me.
Some of those are contenders for sure, but I have 2 other games that I'd take brand new again. Runner would be the weekend my friend brought his TV and 360 over and we did 2 playthroughs of Resident Evil 5. I know it's not the popular game in the series, but the co-op was top notch we ended up getting ever achievement except the MP crap. The one memory that stands out is hysterically laughing at the other when they screwed up their QTE and then messing it up on your turn.
Winner for me is the release day for Skyrim. I had never played a ES game, or I think I tried one once and didn't get it at all. I had just built a new PC and I think this was one of the first games I test drove it with. When you escape the dragon and go through the caves, the first time I walked out into that open world, I think it was a literal jaw drop. That type of game was totally brand new to me and I almost couldn't handle it. I kept yelling at my roommate "COME LOOK AT THIS" while he's playing the same game on his PC. I crapped myself with that first dragon fight. And when it turned to night, starry sky, and Secunda started playing..........to this day I listen to the Skyrim soundtrack and it still gives me that urge to fire the game up.

Modern Warfare 2. That was my introduction into COD and I was obsessed with that game for years

Why I built my PC, what a game to try and jump into PC gaming for the first time
I would have to go with Halo 2. I got Xbox live and that for my birthday, and spent nearly every minute not at school playing that damn game online

Black Ops was probably the most fun I've had gaming with friends.
AC4 Black Flag! Would love to replay this like the 1st time.

By myself:
Nier Automata. No explanation needed. So many unforgettable sequences
OoT as a kid was probably my most "mind blown" experience and would love to feel that again too
With a friend:
Dark Souls. Got it on midnight with my roommate (who isn’t a gamer) as a freshman at LSU. We made the mistake of going to the graveyard first and got our asses handed to us by the skeletons. We’d make suicide runs to see how deep we could get to the catacombs. It never occured to us that we were supposed to go somewhere different - all we had heard was how hard it was supposed to be and we were going to conquer the challenge.
At about 4am, we found the path to New Londo. I’m going down the elevator and I’m like “so THIS is the way we were supposed to go. We’re stupid.” It was even worse down there. We struggled for another hour and half before I said “ok dude, no way a game could be this hard.” We wandered a bit and finally found the path to Undead Burg, where we decided to go to bed. Played from 12:30-5:30 and barely made any progress bc we were so stubborn

Raiding in vanilla WoW. Those 10+hr 40 man raids to progress in Molten Core and Blackwing Lair were so much fun.

Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn. Seemed to be D&D on the the computer without the hassle of getting the old crew back together.
I probably had more fun playing Gears of War 1 with friends online then any online game I have ever played.

Solo:
For the time the graphics were great. Although ranked as "average" I enjoyed the shite out of the gameplay and played it until I had every character maxxed out in both level and loot. The way the game ended it seemed like the idea was to make successor games to transfer your characters to (unheard of for consoles at the time) but nothing ever came of it.
MMO: It's going to be a bit of a tie. The first is the original Neverwinter Nights (NWN) on AOL because you never forget your first time (plus it was before the change to a flat monthly fee so the game was easier to get into and the player base was far more RP-oriented).
The 2nd is EverQuest. It was my first 3D MMO as well as my first encounter with exp penalties upon death (which I still think is silly). I can remember, like it was yesterday, being in beta and doing things like falling to my death in Kelethin, the real fear and anxiety of my level 7 arse being led (invis'd, of course) from Qeynos through the Karanas, Runnyeye, etc to get rebound in Freeport and the actual awe and wonder of seeing my first Hill Giant roaming through West Commonlands.

Zelda OoT or Witcher 3
How anyone can say CoD or any other multiplayer shooter is beyond me

ALTTP was pretty awesome. Skyrim was the most immersive experience I've ever had. Either of those over again for the first time would be really great. If you want a second question experience for ALTTP, there's a randomizer that makes for an interesting experience. Speed gaming is currently running a tournament of it.
