I've just started playing them. These are awesome but the good news is that I get a good long run of playing them all now.

I wish he had played more than like one night of Bad Company 2.

Underrated franchise. They got stale when they put one out every year but Ubisoft regrouped and they've never been better.

You can get the old games pretty cheap. I think the Ezio collection is $15 right now. Black Flag is on sale for less than $10 fairly often as well.

So good. Playing through it again myself.

Most people will tell you it's a bit slow going at first, but stick with it.

I’ve never played the new ones yet.

Played BF last year, and it was pretty awesome. I like the story aspects of 2 and about to finish up Brotherhood which I think improves on 2.

I’m probably in the minority on this, but I actually like being an assassin. So I’m not sure if I would enjoy these newer games as much since you’re really an assassin anymore.

Except you actually are now. I can't speak for anything past BF, but Origins and Odyssey actually allow you to crouch whenever you want. BF did but it was context only (you would crouch if you entered bushes). But stealthing a camp without alerting anyone is probably the most satisfying aspects of the newest games, especially since the moving around mechanics are light years better than the earlier games.

Gardoki's running joke with me with the early AC games was "they're not actually stealth games", and he's 100% correct.

They actually made the boat combat really fun in Odyssey.

My issue with Odyssey was the larger-scale hack-n-slash battles. Black Flag had some skirmishes on the ships when you boarded, but Odyssey took it a little too far with their battles for territory and whatnot. Just my opinion. I still enjoyed the game.

AC Unity is just okay (and gets boring toward the end), but I'd say all the rest of them are really good games.

The historical aspect of them ropes me in, and my wife and I really enjoy the accuracy of the game worlds. She has a fine arts degree with a minor in Art History, so she really appreciates that they clearly put a ton of effort into being as historically accurate as possible with the art and other things they put in the games.

Is AC1 worth playing? I have not played that one, Rogue, or Odyssey. I have all 3, but I always thought the gameplay form 1 might be too outdated to go back and give it a shot now.

I'll qualify it that I enjoyed the boat sequences I was supposed to do but still didn't do the optional stuff.

Game is pretty as hell so it was a lot of fun sailing at night.

I played Assassin’s 1 in one sitting in college... something like 13-14 hours... couldn’t put it down.

#2 kinda sucked, but they redeemed themselves with Black Flag and the newest one, Oddessey is pretty legit too.

Ohhh, to be able to see it all with fresh eyes again

Enjoy, dude.

eta: The movie with Fassbender is total shite, don’t waste your time... Really big letdown.

Origins was awesome. I liked 3
more than most of the board because I love revolutionary era history. but Black Flag and Origins are in my top 5
