For the PS5. Is this worth getting excited for? No mulitiplayer just campaign... I never owned a xbox so I've never played it. But it so super popular amongst a few friends that did play xbox.

Yes. The Halo CE campaign is iconic and 100% worth experiencing. Based on what I’ve seen it’ll have 4 player co-op and ways to adjust gameplay for more fun and replay-ability.

I bought Halo the day the original Xbox released.

I've beaten the campaign so many times over the last 25 years that I've lost count.

I'm freaking stoked for the release for this. The graphics from the Unreal engine look incredible.

Same here. My 24 year old son learned to play video games watching me play original Halo when he was barely old enough to hold a controller. We still play the campaign multi-player. I think it's the GOAT video game.

It looks great. If they kept the gun play, enemy AI, and of course the music (man oh man that classic Halo score) as good as the original then you will be in for a really fun time. Im an OG Xbox owner too and as others have stated there is a reason we go back to that classic campaign trilogy over and over. Its still one of the best shooter experiences out there.

Wow, I had no idea that this game wasn't going to have multi-player. Just campaign is fun but man that is surprising.

Same. My inner 17 year old is so pumped for this. The Halo:CE campaign is a classic.

I just played through the OG campaign again on PC and it's still great (hell even the library part doesn't annoy me as much anymore). It's legally free here:

I remember back in high school when some kid pulled out a flash drive with Halo CE on it and we all uploaded the game to the computers in out computer lab and we'd spend the whole class period playing Halo while the teacher was online shopping

Good times

You’ll wake up every morning kissing your wife and children if you have any and thanking God everyday for giving you the opportunity to play the original Halo campaign and feeling like your life is officially complete if you do get this game.

It's a must play. Halo is on the Mount Rushmore of video game franchises, and for me personally, it's at the top of the hill. I remember the first time I found out about it, i was on a band trip (nerd) in jr high and we stopped at the Pierre Bossier to eat lunch. After we got kicked out of the bookstore for peeping at the adult magazines, we went to Game Stop and they had a standalone kiosk with a screen and controller to play the Halo level on a demo disc. Everyone, including the employees, were wrapped around the kiosk raving about it and wanting a turn. I was instantly hooked and, especially in 2001, it was ground breaking. Had never seen a video game like it. Hours, days, weeks, months of my life have been playing all things Halo related and I am super pumped about this. I am also excited that a new generation gets exposed to the story without the weight of the (now) dated graphics. I wish I could play it for the first time again...

Same. There were some "holy shite" moments in that campaign that I'd love to experience for the first time again.

Some of my best friends in life to this day are because of that game. Sitting in math class in high school and I overhear someone else talking about it. We never hung out with that crew before then, but that weekend my crew and the other crew got together for a LAN party on it, and lifelong friendships were made. Some of the most epic hours-long 16 player CTF battles on Blood Gulch.

The final drive is a peak gaming moment.

The first time you meet the flood.

Both amazing.

yes.

buy it. put it at the top of your gaming priority list. I’d love to replay it without any memory or having done multiple play-throughs in my lifetime. easy decision.
