Then don't preorder it or buy it. It's that simple.

This thread is ok for a bit and then devolves really quickly.

I won't. That bothers a few posters itt who seem to not believe people aren't interested in rewarding a studio for doing this.

$100, and my issue with it is they are asking us to pre-purchase this without seeing any gameplay and without releasing a physical version. I'm just not going to pretend they aren't locking missions behind a paywall. They absolutely are doing that.

$100? So you were expecting a free game? Wow

Yep. These morons completely ignored the news about movies on PlayStation systems and are still pretending no physical media is something we should all be okay with.

No way man. That's a terrible use of MS reward points.

They’re braindead twats who can’t even figure out that they’re literally just leasing a license code to rent a product. No ownership at all. It’s why California passed a law mandating that companies let consumers know that they aren’t actually “owning” something when they get it digitally.

What if Rockstar decides to delist the GTA 6 servers 15 years from its launch date? Players won’t have any access to single player or multi-player. It will simply vanish from PS store and you won’t be able to play it ever again.

One of the few times California actually did something useful.

It should be federal law. It’s a blatant infringement on consumer rights, especially with what PlayStation did when they deleted hundreds of movies from the PS Store. Sony is just asking for a class-action lawsuit.

I agree. I'd like to see a law that requires them to maintain digital media as advertised when purchased.

Makes it difficult to say pirating media is wrong when you can't actually own it anyway.

I hear what you are saying.

But "Games as a service" is a shitty business model I would rather not support. And we should be pushing back.

Once money has changed hands, there is an expectation the product has value and it is an asset. Not so much for a 5 cent piece of bubblegum, but a $100 game, absolutely.

How would you feel if your $2k refrigerator was repossessed, or turned off remotely, after 7 years just because the Terms of Service had expired and the manufacturer doesn't warrant the appliance beyond that time frame?

My issue, and most normal people's issue is the skeeve of having to pay extra for shite that is in the game, but unusable if you don't. . .in a single player game

Constantly being reminded until you inevitably give in and pay the $20. Genius in a Daniel Plainview kinda way.

Legendary said it best, I can surely pay the $20. . .and the game is probably worth more than that. But damn it feels like a skeevy way to treat fans

I'll probably wait until PC, because I am not 14 and "have to have it right now". And also gives me time to see what kinda writing this thing has.

And no telling what is going to happen with consoles in the future.

ETA: The writing is a concern to me, since 2 of the 3 writers of 5 are gone. and Online has been the safest PC dogshit I have ever seen.
