Your Favorite Pulled Pork Rub?

Just as the title says—what’s your favorite pulled pork rub?
-if homemade, can you share the recipe?
-if it’s a brand, share which and which variety within the brand?
I’m smoking 2 butts next weekend and planning on different rubs on each. Already planning on Meat Church Honey Hog on one but would enjoy a suggestion for the other. If it matters I don’t wrap. I smoke at 225 degrees over lump.

I’m pretty much this. Sometimes sub turbinado for brown, maybe more than 1/2 cup. Mix in a little bit of different chili powders. And I like the granulated garlic Vs powder, but both work fine.
Now I want pork.

I dust a layer of Honey Hog, Honey Hog Hot, then top with Killer Hogs. I like a shite ton of bark.

I treat pulled pork as a utility meat. The rubs are very neutral with no sweetness, sauces, vinegars or whatever else.
If you stick to neutral spices and rubs and use a mild to moderate amount of smoke, you can do so much more with it than just sandwiches and shite like that.
I hate tacos and omlettes for instance that are made from traditional bbq style pulled pork. It doesn't fit and it tastes bad.
Also, consider cooking it to a temp of around 185. It can be diced or sliced thin at that temp instead of pulled. I like that texture for certain things.

OK, so you're doing two.
Consider doing one with badia complete seasoning and nothing else. I think you'll like it so much more for non-bbq type things.

Is there still benefit to using smoked paprika if your smoking the butt?

There is if you're cooking over charcoal alone. I do that with ribs at times. Sometimes I don't want smoke.

I like meat Church’s Gospel.
I have use Honey hog too but on something like a PP, which has a huge amount of value compared to surface area for run, I don't Think you get the sweetness of the HH as much, so I’ve stopped.
Meat Church Honey Hog is my favorite on Ribs and all types of smoked chicken.

Take out the salt, I dry brine everything so no need for salt in rubs.
Add rosemary, I use powder and that is pretty much what I do. I don't always do chili powder, sometimes I use cayenne or Chinese red pepper instead. Honestly it is hard to tell the difference.

Spicewalla Carolina pork rub.

I love Killer Hog's TX Brisket rub believe it or not. Introduce the sweet aspect during the wrap (honey, brown sugar, turbinado, raw agave, etc)...if you like that profile.
