You want to know why HEB is great ?

This British couple that will probably be dead in 10 years because of their poor dietary habits took a tour Of Houston's food scene in the white, trashiest way I can imagine

HEB is on par with Kroger
ETA: I take that back, I prefer Kroger.

It has already been shown scientifically that HEB is the best grocer on the Gulf Coast. I have only been in a Kroger four times. It was on par with Winn Dixie.

I have co-worker that drives to Houston at least once or twice a year just to go there. He's absolutely obsessed.

Kroger and big box stores like Walmart and Target are pretty comparable in terms of quality of produce and meats…I shop at Kroger twice a year…when they deeply discount rib roasts.
In no world, if you live in Texas and have an HEB within a reasonable, convenient driving distance pick another grocery store. HEB’s produce, meat and seafood, bakery, deli, literally anything that doesn’t come prepackaged in a box are vastly superior there.
Hell I’d pick Joe V’s or Mi Tienda before I did my weekly grocery shopping at a Kroger.
And then of course, Central Market is the gold standard for walking into a grocery store, dropping 100 bones on three items and being completely ok with it.

HEB markets are insane. Better than whole foods.

Their meat selection. I can get beef cheeks, boneless turkey breasts and other cuts you won’t normally find in grocery stores elsewhere.
