cause that sauce tastes like it's half cane syrup
lol no
it's sweeter than most sauces, yes
but people act like they take red lucky charms, grind them down, and add water
the criticism is over the top
anyone worked in the kitchen can tell us how much sugar per serving is in there, so we can settle this?

What is the proper number of sugars that will invalidate people's opinion that it's too sweet? Threeve?

prego has 10g sugar in 1/2 cup, Monjunis has 13g sugar in 1/2 cup
ruling: not too sweet!

Prego is garbage. That Monjuni's has more sugar gives weight to the arguments against the retaurant.

I used to go for lunch and get their “sampler” which had 1/4 muffuletta, spaghetti, and lasagna (I think). Then they jacked up the price, which was one reason I stopped going. Another reason is that they got rid of their awesome little hot dessert cakes.

There used to be a Monjuni's on St. Charles in NOLA where Delachaise is now. The red sauce was gross.

Monjunis in Ruston was great. Monjunis here is overpriced and meh.
I do like the veal parm poboy and the diabeetus sauce though.

Red sauce is terrible and the rest of the food is mediocre.

Because like most restaurants, when they try to expand they start fricking up and the consumer takes notice. frick them.

Would you compare them with DeAngelo’s when they tried to expand back in the day?

No.
Louis knew what he was doing.
Monjuni's didn't know.

Don’t care for the red sauce except in small quantities. From a former employee, The turkey muffuletta is something I still crave. Olive mix is from NorJor and muff bread from John Folse. Meatball nachos are great also. Alfredo sauce Is made in house with lots of garlic.

Their sauce is like hot ice cream.

That’s just wrong. All of his restaurants are closed or closing now

Bad Italian food.

The red sauce was less memorable than the amount of grease in the large aluminum containers the BR location uses for catering. Experienced it twice and that was enough.
