I'm guessing they wanna try to dethrone La Boca, which probably won't happen.

I'm gonna Tom Fitz them and not go for at least a month. Maybe two. Maybe not at all if we get some bad reviews here.

i can tell you that of all the churrascaria places that have opened up here in houston, FDC is far and away the best, with chama gaucha a distant second.

it's fricking meat heaven.

I haven't been to Fogo since high school but I'd choose La Boca every time.

They are two completely different types of restaurants.

I think Chama Gaucha is better than Fogo.

I plan to hit it after a month or two opened.

Side question, anyone know of coupons that they offer?

They probably did some soft opening stuff.

I was kind of curious to see if anybody had done that.

I went to the Houston one a few years ago and really enjoyed it. The salad bar is ridiculous.

I will. Used to make an annual voyage when I was in DC. How do you say meat sweats in Portuguese?

Fogo is really good for what it is. You aren't going to get the best steak of your life but for $50 you can really enjoy yourself.

Agreed.. Fogo's salad bar is head and shoulders above any salad bar I've had at any other Brazilian Barbeque place.

How would it compare directly with Texas de Brazil? I always thought that was a really good offering, and if Fogo's is that much better, I'd be even more excited for this to open.
