I would of grabbed that 9 yr purple top for $1500.

I’m a patient man. The return on a sale or trade would definitely pay off down the road.

Got my dad a bottle of Barrell Bourbon New Year as a surprise.

Anyone tried this? I've had Barrell before and loved it, but never this bottle.

Not that one but I usually enjoy the barrel bourbons I have had. My only complaint for them has usually been the price but it is what it is these days.

So I’m gonna preface this review with I absolutely seem to love anything finished in Oloroso casks but if you close by Martins you should stop in and try this. Best $83 I’ve spent in quite some time. Jeff said it’s brand new and he’s never had it before. After tasting it, I’m pretty certain this bottle will go. If your around, try it and I’m guessing you walk out with it. It’s absolutely delicious. Cheers!

Barrell is all over the place and not in a bad way, some of their taste profiles are just unique and not a typical bourbon or rye taste. Also, if you don't know, Stellum is owned by the same people that own Barrell. The stellum I have tried is all traditional bourbon and rye taste profiles.

I'm a big fan of sherry as well. Glad to have another recommendation to check out.

Boulevardier and Manhattan at a restaurant. Back home for 3pd
