Calcotron…how you like that Blue Note? I love the champagnes pick i have
It is good - especially for the price (40 for the one at Costco, 45 for the barrel pour). The 116 proof wasn't harsh at all, a little sweet even.

OC batch 2 vs. SJR 14. They're within one proof point so figured this would be a good one to try (blind).
Update: SJR won fairly easily. Better nose and mouthfeel, more complex. The OC reminds me of RR sib (and a little bit of Little book chapter 4) in terms of the spice notes and mouthfeel. It's good, but I'd be disappointed if I paid retail for it.

Three Rivers California. That bottle of Eagle Rare was $100. Special Reserve $200. But then they have Buffalo Trace for$26.

That ER bottle says “aged 10 years” on the front?
You in the states?
eta: the white label EHT also.
eta2: ER is not allowed to put aged 10 years on their bottles anymore.

It's prominently displayed on the front of the label now, as pictured.

No, I’m in Three Rivers California. But I bought one in Alabama last week with same label.

Never mind I was thinking of the “single barrel” statement that they’re no longer allowed to put on the bottle.
The aged 10 years statement on the front was moved to the back of label in 2012. Haven’t seen it on the front in forever.
