You can set it face down in a pan with a little water and apple juice to help keep it from drying out.

JWB is the most recent trial of scotch and I just can't get into it. I haven't giving it a fair shot (scotch) and may one day...just love bourbon so much.

As for that ham here is what you should do with it....warm it up...,do some heavy drinking...and make some late night drunk munchy sandwiches with it really tho I love those...smoking it on the grill sounds interesting...let us know how it comes out.

would you consider rubbing the outside with pepper jelly? I like to do this with pork loins in the smoker.

Yes I like JW scotch, but I always find my way back to Dimple.

What's your opinion on Chivas Regal 12 year. When we eat out or head to a bar, in most cases they don't have a wide selection of Scotch and i'll usually take a couple of fingers of Chivas. imo it's not the greatest but works in a pinch.

Eighteen. I have eighteen open bottles of bourbon. Many because of this thread. Thanks a lot, you guys.

I posted this last week but no one responded. I went to a few sites and they had Wathen's highly reviewed. I figured I would re post it since y'all are my go to experts and have put me on to all my favorite Bourbon/Whiskeys!

I went to Cuban's tonight on a prayer they might have some Elmer or Eagle Rare 10 with no luck of course. The guy working there, Owen recommended this Wathen's which i had not heard of before or Prichards. Obviously i went with the Wathen's, Bourbon minds thoughts?

It was in the same bottle as Elmer so I think that is why i went with it! Ha So far i really like it.

I have not had either of those...did I see the beardface with a Prichards tho? Could be wrong....

From some quick reading it seems the Wathen's got better feedback than the Prichards...so you did good. I may keep an eye open for the Wathen's.

I've only been able to have one drink out of it so far but i really liked it. Hopefully it will be readily available and can be my new daily while Elmer is on back order. I plan on breaking it out tonight again

JACKPOT!!! Me an three other buddy's walked into a restaurant in Nola. Just noticed they had Pappy 15 behind the counter. Needless to say, Pappy's all around. This is the first time I've had 15. It is spectacular.

Saw the table in your truck. Figured it would take a drink or two to get it set up.
