Unreal to me...I’d check the Hokus Pokus shop there

I bought a handle of BT from Martin’s today for $39...shame things aren’t consistent across state lines

Ok yall remember me the poor outa work forced into retirement Cappy that likes a good sip from a jug. I am the trashy ole man of cheap whisky. The thing that kind of pisses me is back 10 years ago I was making a 6 figure salary and could afford expensive whisky there weren't any so for me it was blended Irish or Scottish and crown and such cause that was about all they had. Just my luck now tat I am forced to the heap stuff that luckily I like you Baws are trotting all that fancy stuff. Anyways just incase I aint the only po ole coot thought I'd let yall know Walmart had this 1.75L on sale for 10$

I got one to sample and the first pour had a slight hint of charcoal lighter fluid but weren't too bad the second was a lil better and tasted kinda medicinal by the third pour it started smoothing out and now on the 4th and it is sliding right down. Good Friday yall

was a great Friday evening fried specs in a mustard egg wash we like em spicy fried in Zaterain. Battle bots on tv for the geek in us. I lost count after 5 pours but there were a couple more. I put a big dent in that 1.75 L and alls I can say for $10 I will check for more next time I pass by.

Found some “Quail Creek” Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Anybody every heard of it? All I can find online that it was from the 70’s or 80’s.

Anyone try the Elijah Craig barrel proof A119 and B519? ABC near me has 5 bottles left of the A119. If it’s better than the B519 I might grab a bottle while it’s still available.

History of Bourbon (Tasting)

Bourbon tasting at Martin's Wine Cellar.

$25 for 6 different bourbons.

From frontier to modern distilling, come learn about the big events in bourbon history covered by the whiskies that represent the occurrence.

WE'RE POURING:

Elijah Craig
Old Crow
James E. Pepper 1776
E. H. Taylor Small Batch
Old Forester1920
Wild Turkey Rare Breed

I've been to a few of their scotch tastings. always a good deal.
