Definitely food snobs for me. I don't even go out to restaurants with my wives family. I get a med rare steak and they start yapping about how they wouldn't eat that and then proceed to stare at you while you eating..... bothers the piss out of me.

Let's use this as an example. I and many of my friends drink coffee using a french press and fresh ground beans. I find it far better. Does that make me a snob for saying so?

I was joking. I love a good French press with fresh ground beans, but that's more when I'm at a coffee shop or nice restaurant type of thing. I admit I'm too lazy to do that every day.

What's their problem with a medium rare steak?

beer snobs who think that anything that isn't a super extra double dry hopped IPA isn't beer.

At work, people usually "inspect" what I'm having for lunch. Sometimes I bring prepared sushi from Fresh Market or Whole Foods and half the office goes into convulsions saying how they could "never eat that". Sorry.. but I didn't ask for a poll to be taken on what the office thinks about my lunch.

Beer snobs easily. I enjoy many different beers, but I'm certainly not going to ridicule someone because they enjoy a bud light or miller lite, like some of the snobs here will.

Agreed. I am what most would call a beer snob, but I put down one or two hundred ounces of ice cold miller lite at the bar every Packer Sunday. Most things serve a purpose.

Wait, so why would a food snob not eat medium rare steak? I'm confused.

I agree. I'm a beer snob and I hate IPAs.

Murica bud light drinker is the worst of the bunch.

I am not above light beers, I enjoy a natty or lone star light every now and then. They have their time and place, particularly in the dead heat of summer.

Like a beer shitlord except for food.

How do you shitlord good food?

ETA: My point was that I don't think either of them are bad. I probably fall into both categories in the opinion of some of my friends. The 'beer snobs' who buy out all of the 'good' beer as soon as it's released are the worst, there isn't really a parallel to that in the food world.

Both

The shaming of people because I like a national beer brand and/or a chain restaurant is absurd

I'm sorry if I don't like paying $50 a meal at a white plate and tablecloth place for a scoop of grits and 3 shrimp

Right, there are only two options for dining: national chains and $50/meal white tablecloth establishments. Glad we got that out of the way.

Vegan food snobs. The person you meet for the first time and within the first 3 minutes of the conversation they have to mention that they are vegan. I just met you. I never felt the need to tell you I like a rare steak.

Is something wrong with me that I've never met a vegan?
Hell I don't think any of the closest 50 males or females in my social circle are vegetarians
