Popeye’s overall, Cane’s just focuses on one things and I’ve had better tenders at bars.

The chicken is the one thing that's actually good quality it's just not seasoned. Everything else is sysco junk.

Last week I had Popeyes on Verot School Rd in Lafayette twice. On Wednesday I had 2 piece white with RB&R. That was best chicken from Popeye's Ive ever had. Crispy and just the right spice and not greasy. Mentioned it to mgr that chicken was best I've had at Popeye's in a very long time. He gave all the credit to the guy breading the chicken. Went again on Sat to see if Wednesday was just a good day for them....again the chicken was fantastic!

Cane's chicken is some of the blandest you'll ever taste.
Yes, fresh, not frozen, you can tell, and that is nice. But overall, it just tastes like juice, white college ruled paper.

But when fresh, you show up at 11AM, then hell yes, Krispy Krunchy is definitely better than Popeyes. The tenders when you get them fresh absolutely beat the shite out of bland arse Canes.

This - and I find that their chicken often tastes like old grease.. But when you can find it fresh, Krispy Krunchy Chicken is pretty damn good.
Blue store, then popeyes is my vote. Krispy krunchy is a close 3rd.
I have often heard that popeyes tastes better in Louisiana than it does out of state - Not sure how true this is tho.
