Many places around the Jackson area have bottles, all price it at $99.99. No thank you, I did it once for the lore but not again. I find it to be a bland bourbon and lack flavor, crazy what hype does.

I really do think it's a more bland bourbon. Taste is subjective but to me it has no finishing flavor.

This is absurd. Bland? Blanton's is delicious. This juice itself isn't worth the hype it gets, but it's a very good bourbon. As for your second comment, are you saying I'm not into bourbon if I don't like bourbons that are hard to drink?

Everybody in this thread is talking shite, but every single one of us would buy a bottle for $55 if it was offered out of the blue.
Blantons is about shopping and status, not about whiskey. The same guys buy .22LR, 2 ply toilet paper, and DDH Ghost in the Machine by the pallet.

$65-$70ish in Tennessee. Although, there are many better bourbons available, and at a better price too.

Blantons is good. A decent amount of the hate comes from the fact it used to be readily available for 55 bucks. Competition has undoubtedly improved at the same time Blanton's has become harder to find.
The bottom line is you should drink what you like. Get a pour of it at a bar and then decide if it's worth secondary prices or not.

Probably had more to do with Republic loosing it and Glazers picking it up. Republic probably dumped all their stock or last batch of it to get it out their system. Now glazers is trying to figure out how to handle it. That goes for pappy, btac, eagle rare, wellers, maybe some others. Republic still has Buffalo trace and baby Saz.

It all comes down to personal taste and not what's trendy or fashionable. If I want to get a relatively cheap bourbon buzz going, it's Maker's or Buffalo Trace. If I want to enjoy what I consider something more sophisticated, I'll get a bottle of barrel picked small batch Elijah Craig.
There are many bourbons that you don't have to spend more than $40 a bottle for that are fantastic.

My go to used to be if I knew someone going on a Royal Caribbean cruise, I’d have them by some on the ship and bring it back for me.

Retail is $66 at the BT Gift Shop. I've seen it for sale up to $250. I won't pay more than retail. I don't have to have it, but I won't pass up a bottle at retail. Still looking for letter 'A' and I like to bring a bottle out when company is over.
Blanton's uses BT mashbill #2, which is the same mashbill as Ancient Age, Elmer T Lee, Rockhill Farms, Hancock Reserve, etc. Your best bet for a close knockoff is A Bowman Single Barrell or Small Batch. If can find an old bottle of Ancient Age 10 yr, that's the better bottle of Blanton's. If you want to have some fun, but a couple handles of Ancient Age, a 3L bourbon barrel and try aging your own in the garage.
