Which store? I'm close enough to drive there and typically have nothing better to do.

I really enjoy Four Roses and Eagle Rare and they are both very affordable.

Elijah Craig SB (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% barley) should run about $25. Knob Creek (75% corn, 13% rye, 12% barley) will run about $38 and Woodford Double Oaked (72% corn, 18% rye, 10% barley) will run about $45. If that's what interests you then allow me to submit Four Roses Single Barrel will run about $45 and IMO is a clear head and shoulders above the ones you mentioned.

While they are solid choices, none of those taste anything like Blantons. Their mashbill is a highly guarded secret, but educated guesses are that Mash #2 is between 12-15% rye. It's aged in Warehouse H, which is the only all-metal rickhouse BT owns as far as I know.

And warehouse H is not very big. After seeing it I now understand why it's hard to get with it's popularity.

there is no bourbon in the history of bourbon that is so allocated and disappointing as Blanton's.
look at this pretentious frick head.

Overrated sure, but it is far from disappointing.

I'm not even sure it is overrated, just hard to get so it makes getting a bottle fun.

Just reading this thread shows that people understand what they are buying and aren't billing it as the best bourbon ever.

$150 is probably the range most stores will ask for it. And it will be that much or more in secondary markets.

Blantons is like 90-100 on the secondary, gold is 200-220, SFTB is 240-260
