Where to buy Blantons

I’m sure he has it. You just aren’t spending enough money in his store for him to offer it to you.

No I drank it at a friend of a friends. And now I want to buy it, just wondering if the 100-150 range is the right price? I’ve never bought anything over 50 before so I don’t know prices of the more expensive bourbons

LOL, no not 100. 60 bucks around here, and not worth it. There are dozens of bourbons in the $40 range that are much better.

Just going down my list, which I keep in Google Keep so I can look back at notes and what I paid when I take way to long to shop for the next one (I am OCD about trying new ones vs. getting ones I have had before). No this list isn't perfect, tastes differ, etc. Nashville area mostly, so selection where you are may differ. I drink it straight with a few whisky stones in there to chill. I like stuff with a bite, you may not. There are so many more, too.

$55 is the most I’ve ever paid for a regular bottle. But I haven’t had a drink in over 5 years so of the price changed I wouldn’t know.

It’s everywhere now with republic dumping their stock. Just won’t be on the shelf, expect for maybe 1 at the time at certain places

I'll save the snark on it being overrated, but, in short, Blantons is allocated pretty much everywhere. Unless you have a relationship with a retailer, or get incredibly lucky, you're not getting your hands on any.

My advice: pick *one* store. Always go to that one store. Talk to their "whiskey guy". Say that you know (inset bourbon here) is allocated everywhere, so you wanted some advice on other bourbons to try that had similar profiles. Buy what they tell you to buy. Drink it. Come back to the same store. If you liked their recommendation, buy more of that. If not, talk to the whiskey guy about what you liked and didn't like about it, and continue your bourbon journey. Do that for months/years, and assuming you weren't stupid enough to ask for it, the whiskey guy might put you on their list of customers to contact when they get an allocation of Blantons.

You'll rejoice at having finally made it, you'll get home, pour a glass...

And realize that Blantons is super overrated.

But hey, you're already on the allocation list now, so you'll have easier access to other, better bourbons. So all's well that ends well

You'll get over that quickly. Blantons is bland. No way around it. Smooth, but bland. Kind of like Baton Rouge tap water.
