I have some friends from out of state that have never been to Louisiana. If you could take them to one Baton Rouge restaurant, where would you go?

Mansurs. It’s my favorite consistent restaurant. Always has a good fish selection. Can’t miss.

Probably Mansurs for Louisiana food. Cocha if they were adventurous eaters.

Yea, all the answers here are great. How old are you guys? And how fancy do you want to get?

Parrains & Phil's - more casual, beer drinking, oyster eating, but also nice dishes. I's give the advantage to Parrain's here, it is classic Baton Rouge and out of town people love it.

Louisiana Lagniappe - prob the best LA food in town, it's semi casual, older crowd, sit down and enjoy you meal. Not as lively as Parrains.

Mansur's - Upscale, great food.

Really just depends on what atmosphere you're looking for.

I'd go in this order:

Louisiana Lagniappe
Mike Andersons
Phil's
The Chimes

For finer dining, French Market Bistro or Mansurs

Chimes LSU, Mansur's, Lagniappe.

Walking around campus seeing Mike and getting a pint at the Chimes is a good time.

Park in the parking lot on 3rd and Convention (I think that's right)

Walk to Cecilia's then outside cocktails at tsunami.

Walk to the Vintage after for beignets.

Right back where you started; can jump in the car and leave or head to one of the bars if they have good live music.

You could also walk over to the Tunnel but it smelled like poop in there the last time I went.
