My dad was not much of a drinker but occasionally he would break out the High Life ponies during fish frys. I was young and he let me drink one. RIP Dad. Miss you

I was so young I couldn't tell you what beer it was with any certainty.
I do believe with all my gut feeling that it was a local beer----either Jax, Regal, Dixie or Falstaff since I was just a wee lad well under 8 years old. I can remember where I was and what we were eating at the time.
We'd eat no meat on Fridays with being Catholic and we had gone to eat boiled crabs at a house in the neighborhood. The guy who owned the house was a fisherman, crabbing and trawling to sell his catch.
He'd boil seafood on a Friday and he had a place for people to sit and he'd sell it like a sit-down restaurant and also sold sodas and beer. I remember my dad pouring me a short glass of beer to have with the crabs and remember how strange it tasted when compared to anything else I'd ever drank before, but I liked it.
My dad died when I was 8, so that is how I can say it was from that point to younger.

Gennessee Cream Ale - worst part is, it was warm from sitting in the case in our garage

Whatever my Dad was drinking at the time (probably Dixie or Old Milwaukee).
As the story goes, Dad was having a cold one with my godfather at some party/get together when I was 7 or 8 and I asked for some. Godfather said to let me have some. I took a sip, then asked for more. Godfather said ‘uh-oh- you got a future drinking buddy here’.

Probably a Bud heavy from my dad, but I don't remember. The only first that matters to me is Anchor Steam, as that was the first beer that opened my eyes to other beers.

Pretty sure my first taste was Miller. My older brother had started a beer can collection and we used to go beer can hunting. We found a full can, warm, and he punched a couple holes in the bottom to drain the contents. I put my hand underneath and took a taste. I was not impressed.
The first cold can of beer I ever had was a Budweiser. Second variety was PBR.

Boiling Miller Lite that we found in a friend’s garage. We all went in the house and got ice water and dumped off the water. Delicious

Anyone ever drink Rolling Rock beer?
Yes, lived for a while in Latrobe, PA - home of Rolling Rock & Arnold Palmer. But it was much later when I had a Rolling Rock. My first taste was probably Iron City, curtesy of my grandfather. First that I drank the whole beer was probably a Miller Pony.
