I have eaten many. Most of the time I am disappointed. None like Mama or my FIL.

My fav though is Chef Ron's Gumbo Stoppe in Metairie. Very good.

Whatcha got?

In New Orleans? The best I've had there is at the restaurant in the Royal Sonesta. John Folse's quail "Death by Gumbo".

My favorite is the Pheasant Quail and Andouille Gumbo from Prejean's.

ETA: Oh I see now you were asking for Seafood Gumbo. Never mind.

I do not believe this is a seafood gumbo. I think it is quail and andouille.

There is a seafood place in Natchitoches Texas where I absolutely loved theirs. Probably the best I have had. Small place don't know name though.

It's gonna be really hard to find if you're looking for it in Natchitoches, TX.

While Lake Charles doesn't have much going for it, this is a correct statement.

And Reginald Balls fried chicken is one of the better ones too.

I was coming to post gumbo stop. Since discovering it, it's become a regular in the lunch rotation.
