re: Anyone know of some good dividend stocks - jeepfreak
On my phone and can't link analyst reports, but basically the balance sheet is solid, they're strategically placed in several sectors of their market, and they have the liquid assets to finance their expansion plans. The only downside I've identified is a contract that expires in 2019. But this ...

I "can" eat in the 15 lb range sans side items. I usually eat 7-8 lbs while enjoying all the other delectables in the pot. ...

re: New Boiling Rig - jeepfreak
If you'll be boiling more than once or twice a year, spend the money and get a Rocket pot. You can use a single jet burner, boil just as quickly, and save a ton of propane. When I was boiling at the bar I did 7 sacks back-to-back-to-back and didn't even empty a 5 gallon propane tank. Any single jet ...

re: Life Insurance - jeepfreak
If you want term insurance, just go with an online quote machine like selectquote or zander and get a cheap Banner or AIG policy. If you want whole life, go with a mutual company like Guardian, Ohio National, or Penn Mutual. Do not buy universal or variable life....

re: Investment in Bond Fund - jeepfreak
Openheimer's Rochester AMT-free muni fund is paying 5.6% right now, tax-free, but it does come with interest rate and default risk. If there aren't any wild swings in INT rates, which it doesn't appear the FED will allow it should be a rather low-risk place to park some cash....

re: Who is your auto insurance with? - jeepfreak
State Farm. Been with them since my first auto policy at age 15. I receive multiple discounts (home/auto, multi-household). I pay just under $1300/year for single vehicle comprehensive with $100/300/100 coverage. I do have an above average driver history though (no accidents last 5 years, no tickets...

re: Why dont more people see the value in Life Insurance? - jeepfreak
There is a reason State Farm is the number one life insurance company in the U.S though.
By what metrix? State Farm is 8th in market share and is not a mutual company. Anyone who buys a cash value WL policy from a public company is being duped. You may as well buy a policy from AIG...
Anybody think this is a buy yet?
Only if you intend to hold it for a long time. It still pays a decent dividend but biopharma is getting hammered right now.
