This is dumb. Like Pizza, all donuts are good. It’s just a matter of what’s better.

I’ll eat a “bad” donut, and still be super happy.

To whoever said the hot airy Mary Lees. Boy you hit the nail on the head. Those things are so light and airy, yet they somehow have a crunch but not really. I’m booking a flight to BR

Nothing beats a fresh classic glazed.

Alternately, those doughnuts with 2 pounds of powdered sugar that make giphy look like you're in a snow shower have to be the worst.

Fresh glazed where the icing has crystallized a bit with a piping hot center.

Meche’s on Guilbeau.

Nothing better.

Fresh, hot, glazed is simply the best.

But, I do enjoy a blueberry cake donut every once in a while.

Southern Maid is similar to Mary Lee. Both great. I give the slight edge to SM.

I love the cake crullers from Krispy Kreme

Unfortunately the KK in my area does not carry them

I prefer cake style but enjoy a yeast as well.

I celebrate all doughnuts, but my favorite are the chocolate iced long johns with custard/bavarian cream filling. Raspberry bismarks a close second.

Regular old glazed are my least favorite, but I'll still eat the hell out of them.

Now I want doughnuts.
