Lobster Thermidor in Salt Lake City back in 1980. $60 for my meal. In today's money it's probably close to 100.

Tasting menu at Uchi. Meal was $358. So $150 each before the bottle of wine.

You said single entree so $150.

$1800 for a table of six at Ai Fiori in NYC. 7 course tasting menu with several 1.5 litre wine bottles. That didn't include the $60 2oz pour of pappy van winkle 23 year I paid for at the bar after dinner.

Best meal and dining experience I've ever had. Mrs. Steakbomb and I haven't been trusted with the wine list since, though.

Eta: the single meal minus wine was $150/person, I think.

I dropped about $700 on dinner at Taillevant about ten years ago. It was supposed to be a honeymoon meal for me and my wife, but my wife got sick and she insisted I go, so that total was just for me. I had something like a 9 course truffle tasting menu, plus two half bottles of wine. It was epic. I jacked a towel from the men's room as a souvenir and still have it.

Either Uchiko in Austin or Montagna in Aspen.

Both were in the $400 range.

Neither would be in my top 5 meals either.

I think the most expensive meal I have paid for was at Del Posto in NYC. The bill for my wife and I was around $900.

Personal Per Se it was over1100 for 2. Business has to be the 3k dinner I hosted to celebrate a 20th company anniversary for an employee. There were 9 of us. The other one was a 1700 bar bill for 8. Dinner was a direct bill. Still surprised that one cleared.

$600 at Ai Fiori in NYC for my wife and I. Completely ridiculous price, but really one of the best meals I've ever had. Absolutely perfect service and food.
